Adoption cost: $160

Animal ID: 295412,  1 yr 6 mths, 65 lbs

My name is Sitka! I am a young male husky and I just can't wait to find the most perfect home! I arrived here at the shelter as a stray, so my friends here don't know too much about me quite yet. I love tasty snacks and wanna know something I love even more than tasty snacks?... Playtime! As many of you know, us husky's have quite a bit of energy!! My ideal home would have a large, enclosed area for me to run and play all day (supervised of course, cause our breeds are very good at escaping!) Another thing I should mention is that I have never met an activity I did not like! If you love exercise and keeping active, then we will be fast friends. I will go for a run in the morning, a hike in the afternoon, play fetch in the evening, and unwind with some play at home before bed - and I would love nothing more than to have someone who can keep up with me. It is important that I have an outlet for my boundless energy, so let us get together and explore the outdoors!

Hey there my name is Toby, I am a handsome, young mixed breed dog looking for a new start in my life. My history before coming to the shelter is unknown so the staff have been learning about me as we go along. I was pretty nervous at first but have blossomed as I became more comfortable. I will need a slow introduction to new environments and a home that is patient with me. The shelter staff have noticed I appear to be very dog social, even in a stressful environment like a shelter, but said I will need a play partner that has my energy level and similar play style...once I get going I just don't want to stop! Ask about me today!

Hi there! My name is Callie and I am a 2 year old female American Pit Bull mix. I can be a little shy and scared at first, but once I warm up to you we will have a blast! I already know a few commands like sit, down, and shake! I was in a temporary home for about a week and they said I was friendly with the people in the household and with large dogs I met. I will go to the door when I need to go out and like to play with tennis balls and rope toys. I also think I am a lap dog and want to sit in my people's laps once we are acquainted. I was successfully left alone for 4 - 8 hours, however apartment living might not be a good choice for me as I bark for about five to ten minutes when first left. I will also need a home without cats. Come check me out and say hi!!

"BANJO" CHOCOLATE LAB LOVERS WHERE ARE YOU?

UPDATE 7/30/23 Adopted

Banjo is a sweet dog. He is afraid in  the shelter. He is active and needs a lot of exercise and stimulation, and he can be rowdy and on the bigger side. He can get rough when he plays with other dogs.

Banjo needs someone to spend time with him so he can feel stable, secure in a new home

"BANJO" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
MCAS hours/ Location

Adoption cost: $160
License fee: $27.00 (Multnomah County residents only)

 Animal ID: 293039, 3 yrs 76 lbs

My name is Banjo! I have never met an activity I did not like! If you love exercise and keeping active, then we will be fast friends. I will go for a run in the morning, a hike in the afternoon, play fetch in the evening, and unwind with some play at home before bed - and I would love nothing more than to have someone who can keep up with me. It is important that I have an outlet for my boundless energy! I am young and exuberant and probably had no training in my previous home. so I will need to learn house manners, how to greet people politely and how to walk nicely on leash. My play style is rough and tumble so if there are other dogs in the household, they should be roughly the same size and be okay with my type of play. The shelter is recommending kids 8 & up due to my jumpy/mouthy behavior.

"ROWAN" fun curious blue-eyed husky

 UPDATE 7/28/23 Adopted

"ROWAN" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
MCAS hours/ Location

Adoption cost: $160
License fee: $27.00 (Multnomah County residents only)

 Animal ID: 292616, 2 yrs 38 lbs

https://www.multcopets.org/adoptable/292616

Rowan is full of energy and loves to explore. He is curious and smart. He needs training, exercise, and a family that is patient and positive so that he can reach his potential. He is an independent dog but loves a belly rub. He's great on walks and loves being in the woods. Rowan's energy level calls for a big yard with a tall fence! He can jump over a four foot fence so he will need a five or six foot fence at least. Huskies are known to be very athletic and can jump and climb fences so he should not be left outside unattended until it is known that he will stay in his own yard.

"COCO" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Hi, I'm Coco! I just came to the shelter recently so they don't know me super well yet, but I've been lovely to all I've met here! I like to know exactly what you're doing, especially if that means food!! Breakfast? Best way to start your day! Lunch? Absolutely! Snacks and dinner and dessert? SAY LESS!!! I don't yet have my manners, so someone who's willing to be kind, patient, and teach me where my paws can and cannot go through positive enforcement (did you say TREATS??) would be fantastic to help me learn. I also may do best in a home with older kiddos because of my size and energy levels. I'm still learning that people are nice, so please be extra gentle and kind to me! Come meet me if you think we're a match!

Hi! My name is Nymeria and I am a 2 year old female American Shelter dog. I am as sweet as can be, and I love giving kisses. Something unique about me is that for the first 2 years of my life, I was never trained to walk on a leash. I have made some progress while here at the shelter, but I will definitely need patience and training from my new owner. I am so eager to learn and have fun with you! Let's talk if you have another dog in the home about how to introduce us and let us get to know each other. I like to be close to my people and will make a wonderful companion!

Hello, I'm Winter! I am a young adult husky that was found hanging out near a school community garden. Since then, humans here found out I really don't like to be left alone - I am on medication for anxiety and will probably need them long term, so let's chat with a local vet! I am looking for an adopter that is home most of the time and has a loving nature, patience and understanding for teaching me to be my best self.. I am really happiest being where my people are, so please don't go far until I understand, okay? I'd also LOVE it if you're an active person - someone ready for lots of jogs, hikes, and adventure with me by your side! Is that you? Please come meet me!
