Looking for a reason to smile? Meet Clover! This adorable, slightly dainty lady is a total sweetheart. When she was found, she was a little underweight, but she's been enjoying her meals and is well on her way to being a happy, healthy pup. Clover has a wonderful, gentle personality and is ready to leave her stray days behind her. She's a bit of a wallflower at first, but once you earn her trust, she'll be your shadow and your most loyal companion. Once she is comfortable, her energy level can be too overwhelming for younger, smaller kids. She will need to go to a home with children that are 8 years and older. She would do best in a home with older children. Bring some luck into your life and adopt Clover today! 🍀😊

"BUDDY" MCAS- loving young LABRADOODLE - was abused, neglected

Buddy was painfully neglected in the home he came into the shelter in Sept 2024.  He was found grossly matted, with feces and urine stench, and emaciated (see last pic) and later shaved down. Please take care of your pets and don't get a non-shedding dog unless you can afford professional routine grooming

**Buddy has reached his maximum number of applications, please look at some of his friends instead!** [Hi! I am Buddy, a fun loving and energetic ball of curly floof. Dogs like me love to get out and play but are not always sure what to do with our mouths. I can tend to get so excited I jump for the first thing I see, and the game is on! My ideal family will be active, patient and use positive training methods to help me become a more refined pup. I think working with a trainer would be a fun way for us to bond and learn together. I am eager to learn and can't wait to show you how smart I am! I am currently in a foster home with a kitty, and may want to befriend a dog-savvy feline if you have one in your home. I am fully potty trained and know how to sit, lay down, and shake. I am a total lover and love to snuggle up on the couch and roll over for belly rubs!]

above photo is from last year (I hope he didn't come back to the shelter isn't matted again)

'Look through our adoptable dogs to find the perfect match for you and your family. We assign each dog a breed and do our best to describe the dog's personality. Please read each dog's profile closely before applying or coming in. Meets with dogs are set up only when an approved application is on file and the adopter meets the basic suitability requirements for a particular dog. We actively seek rescue placement for our dogs who have medical needs, training needs, or for dogs who just haven't found their forever home through us. Dogs who are noted to be "Committed to Rescue" are not currently viewable for adoption, and they may have a home already through their rescue placement. You are welcome to fill out an online application for us to pre-approve and keep on file. Then, when your dream dog comes in, the adoption process will be much quicker"

"ATLAS" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Shelter"

Shelter ID: 106019  Breed: (GUESS)  German Shepherd Dog

neutered male, 3 yrs 70 lbs

Description: Atlas is a special guy, and he just knows you'll recognize it the second you meet him. At about 3 years old and weighing 70lbs, Atlas isn't your typical German Shepherd with his long, flowing locks and quieter demeanor. Once he gets to know you, he would love to follow you anywhere that he can, and wants to be included in the day to day events of life - even if thats just a relaxing evening on the couch. Atlas is a shy guy sometimes, and would love a quieter home to call his own!

1) Atlas is a less confident German Shepherd, who would thrive in a home that is experience with his breed or similar breeds.

2) We don't know how Atlas will do with cats or other small animals, so please be sure to discuss proper introductions between Atlas and any resident small animals with your adoption counselor to make sure they can be housemates.

3) Atlas has been dog neutral here at the shelter. He may do great with another dog of similar energy level, but likely would also be happy to be an only dog.

4) Due to his quieter and shyer nature, Atlas would do best in a home that has no children under the age of 13 years.

5) Atlas is being treated for some medical needs involving his digestive tract. It isn't forseen that he will need long term treatment, but will require continued treatment for the time being. Your adoption counselor would be happy to discuss this more with you!

"ODIE" GOOFY playful big Bloodhound/German Shepherd "Oregon Humane Society in SALEM"

"ODIE" AVAILABLE FOR Adoption at Oregon Humane Society  in SALEM

ODIE Available 7/23/2025  #324356  $400

neutered male, 1 yr 8 mths 91 lbs "Looks  like" Bloodhound, German Shepherd

Hello there! I'm Odie, and I'm a sweet and silly boy that is sure to make you smile!

I'm very active and playful! A romp around the yard sounds like a blast to me. I'd love to get up and adventure with you too! I will need lots of exercise to keep me healthy and give me positive outlets for my energy.

Toys and treats are a great way to teach me- I love to learn! Plus doing some training together would be a great way for us to bond and for me to become the best dog I can be!

After I'm done adventuring for the day, I love to spend time with my humans. I may even try to be a lap dog - some people might say I'm too big for that, but what can I say? I just can't get enough of my favorite people!

I've had a lot of fun playing with other dogs here at the shelter, but I like to play rough and rowdy so if you have a dog already make sure your pup my size or larger and is up for that! Also, I will need a home without small dogs, cats or other small animals.

I would do best in a low traffic home with a fenced yard so that I can run around. I am part of the  Diamond in the Ruff program, which you can learn more about here. That means we'll have plenty of time to spend together before you officially adopt me!

I'd love to get to know you - maybe you'd like to get to know me too? Then come stop by and say hi!
