"As a volunteer at the County shelter in Portland I have walked bouncer numerous times and have to say he's one of the sweetest best dogs I have ever encountered in my 10 years there. He's everyone's favorite and it's so surprising that he hasn't been adopted but when there's hundreds of dogs in the area waiting for homes it's hard to find homes for them all." shelter volunteer

"Bouncer is a fun-loving pittie mix who puts the bounce in everything he does! This joyful, affectionate boy greets life with pogo-jumps, loves belly rubs, and is always ready for an adventure.
He rides great in the car and would love an active family to share the fun with him.
Since coming into foster care, Bouncer has been settling into a consistent routine and showing what a wonderful companion he is. Hes been said to “match the energy in the home”. Sleeps in crate at night and has been left alone in crate for a few hours during the day (showing no stress or destruction). He loves to cuddle on the couch. He walks nicely on a loose leash, knows “sit,” and responds to “come.” He’s also treat-motivated and redirects well with snacks and positive reinforcement.
Bouncer enjoys meeting people, playing with toys, and while at the shelter was a great addition at play group with dog friends who match his style.
Bouncer is currently thriving in a foster home with teenagers, cats, and a senior resident dog. He’s done well meeting new people in the home, and while the cats are currently kept separate, his foster family plans to work toward slow, thoughtful introductions in time.
He coexists with the senior dog, who has a separate space to accommodate their age and health needs. Bouncer does best with a consistent, supportive routine that helps him build safety and settle in.
Bouncer is an enthusiastic guy who can sometimes be jumpy and mouthy (soft/open) when overstimulated, so he’ll thrive with a family committed to positive training, clear structure, and a consistent routine. He’s very food-motivated (great for training), so keeping food put away is important.
On walks, he may show curiosity about other dogs, especially vocal ones, but he redirects well when given support and especially shines when you can take sufficient space.
Bouncer is ready to give endless affection, and be a playful, loyal sidekick who loves being close to his people and will keep you smiling with his goofy personality.
Could Bouncer be your forever adventure buddy?
