"BEAN (Cornucopia) *FOSTER HOME* LOVABLE Pitbull "MCAS'

"BEAN" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

MCAS hours/ Location

Adoption cost: $160.00 each License fee: $27.00 (Multnomah County residents only

BEAN #375578 listed as Breed: American Pit Bull male, 3 yrs 72 lbs

*foster home*

Meet Bean, a loving 3-year-old who is oh-so-eager-to-please. Bean arrived at the shelter with a skin allergy that had become infected. He responded well to treatment and the hair on his backside and tail is regrowing. In fact, he looks so good that when his foster family takes him out for a walk, strangers comment on what a handsome dog he is!

But his looks are only a small part of his charm. Bean is the type of dog who looks deeply into your eyes, radiating love. Scratch his ears and chest, and watch him close his eyes and melt right into you. Bean adores people and would be happiest living with people who are home a lot, who can shower him with the affection he craves, and who have time to offer him plenty of exercise.

He loves his walks around the neighborhood and would probably be a great candidate for the off-leash dog park. He's interested in other dogs and not at all aggressive. Bean is housetrained, he knows a lot of commands, and he really wants to please. He's obedient most of the time but only somewhat so when excited.

He can jump up a lot and be a bit mouthy around people he's happy to see, so he may not be a good candidate to live with small children-not because he would intentionally hurt them, but simply because he's big and doesn't manage his body well when excited.

On walks, Bean pulls hard at first, overcome with eagerness, but within five minutes walks decently on a leash. He's very strong, and a thunder leash or something similar would probably be a good idea for him. He notices squirrels and cats but has not made any effort to chase them

Shelter life was hard on Bean's nerves, and he arrived at his foster family anxious and somewhat jumpy. Over several days, he already started to calm down, and after a couple of weeks, he seemed like a different dog, voluntarily going into his crate for naps, or settling at people's feet under the kitchen table. That said, he still shows some signs of separation anxiety and would need patience to work through the barking that can occur if he is left at home alone. Bean enjoys toys, especially the type that he can chew on for a long time and ultimately rip to pieces. He's so good though; he never even tried to touch any of the children's toys in his foster home, nor did he chew up anything except the dog toys he was given for that purpose. If you have the time and energy for this active, affectionate dog, you will have the most loving, devoted companion you could ever imagine.

*foster home*

Well hello there, my name is Frozen! Or you might as well call me Olaf because I LOVE warm hugs! Im in that great age range where I love to go on adventures but am perfectly content to spend the rest of the day cuddling on the couch with you. I am a self-proclaimed squirrel hunter, so I would be better in a home with no cats or small roaming animals. BUT I do love other dogs, big or small, I dont discriminate! I currently live with two small dogs whom I get along with great but most weekends, I get to go to dog parks where I interact with all sorts of dogs with ease. I am kennel and potty trained but am trusted to roam the house at nighttime with no issues. If you love huskies but aren't so keen on the younger pups and their rambunctious ways, I am your girl!"

CINCO PLUS VIDEO  #314154 listed as American Shelter Dog male,  3 yrs 7 mths 95 lbs

*recommend no cats (will chase unless cat is dog savvy)
*children 8 and up)

Hey there, I'm Cinco, a handsome and sizable dog tipping the scales at almost 95 pounds! I'm hoping to find a wonderful family who can help me navigate this next chapter of my life. I'm a strong and sturdy fella, and I'll admit I could use a little assistance with my leash manners. With some patience and positive guidance, I'm confident I can learn to walk like a pro by your side! While I may be a tad wary of new people and situations at first, I'm eager to build trust and form lasting bonds with a loving family. Given the chance, I'll show you just how loyal and devoted I can be. The shelter recommends no cats in my new home unless they are confident around dogs, as I prefer to chase them. And due to my large size and exuberance, children in my new home should be 8-years and up. If you're searching for a big-hearted companion to join your family, look no further! Let's meet and see if we're a perfect match. I'm ready to embark on new adventures and create unforgettable memories with you. Let's make it happen!

"PINKY and PIPER" delightful white Huskies "MCAS"

Pinky and her sister Piper are a fun and entertaining Husky pair.  If you are active and love sweet and entertaining dogs, please visit them!

MCAS needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption, especially the females and purebred dogs! They have had years to resolve this issue. Upper management is failing the animals and community.

MEANWHILE - these poor shelter dogs need good homes! Please visit them.

Introducing Pinkie and Piper, a delightful duo of female husky mixes who are ready to steal your heart! This friendly and active pair came to us as strays, and while we don't know much about their past, it's clear they adore each other. They would love to find a home where they can stay together, but they can also be adopted separately to the right families. Pinkie and Piper are full of playful energy and would thrive in an active household with plenty of room to run and explore. Whether they're playing fetch in the yard or going for a long hike, these two are always up for an adventure. They have sweet and social personalities, and might get along with other dogs. If you're looking for a fun-loving companion (or two!), Pinkie and Piper might just be the perfect match for you
