"ATHENA" AVAILABLE for Adoption with ADAMS County Pet Rescue, Othello, Washington

ATHENA, spayed female,  american BULLY mix, adoption fee $325  good with children  4 yrs 46 lbs

Meet Athena, a squat little muffin that we think is adorable. She's so friendly and at the adoption event last weekend, she was in heaven meeting all the people and dogs.
She's house trained and enjoys walks. She's curious about cats and seems to want to play but would need to be supervised for a period of time. She is easily distracted away from the cats.
She is an owner surrender that has been indoors and was very much loved.
If you are looking for a loveable, squishy girl think about Athena.

Dory's Agave Rescue Facebook post and videos

Friendly, Playful, Funny, Affectionate, Athletic, Curious

Dory's breed guess (no parents to reference) Pitmix/german shepherd, adoption $250, (will be spayed) female,  DOB 4-2-25 (apprx)  wt:  20 lbs on 6/27/25

Good in a home with
Other dogs, cats, children
Dory is a silly, sweet little pup rescued after being dumped with her four litter mates in an orchard in California. We have the video of their rescue if you'd like to see it and they are so happy to have been found by our rescue partners there in California.

Black puppies like Dory growing up in rescue is a real thing… 🖤
Agave Dogs Rescue tries so hard to market our black puppies extra so that they don’t lose their puppyhood in foster. We want their adopters to enjoy that sweet baby face while it lasts! 🌸
Dory is 4 months old and 16 pounds. She is fostered with kids and cats and does wonderful with them. She loves doggie friends too.

- Possibly a Pit Bull/German shepherd mix but we are only taking our best guess as we have no parent dogs to reference.

- Social, happy, playful puppy who loves people and other dogs

- Fostered with two cats and has done well with them. She backed off fast when one cat swiped her after she got too close.

- Fostered with kids ages 11+ but would likely do fine with younger kids

- Doing well with crate training

- Potty training is going well and she is definitely grasping the concept

- Walks on leash

- Playful and loves to chase after toys and bring them back

Dory has had three rounds of puppy vaccines and dewormer, rabies vaccine, is microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery at our partner vet clinic in Milwaukie, Oregon between 6 months to 1 year of age. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland, or Tualatin

"JAX" DOBERMAN "HUMANE SOCIETY OF SW WASHINGTON in VANCOUVER

"JAX"  Available for Adoption at the HUMANE SOCIETY OF SW WASHINGTON  in VANCOUVER

dogs available HS SW Washington (both Vancouver and Longview)

JAX #169271 neutered male 2 years 1 month, 80 lbs, $400

Breed: Doberman

Adopt me on the 3rd of this month and my fee is waived! It's the Craig Stein Yappy Hour and we're honoring our friend Craig by waiving adoption fees for all pets. And every pet adopted during the promotion will also receive a branded bandana and a starter kit with food, treats, and toys!

Here's what you need to know about me:

I'm an active dog! I would love to go home with a family who can help me burn off energy with exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures.

I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable. But once I get to know you, I'm very loving.

It's recommended I meet any kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.

I need to be the only dog in my new home. Sharing my home and stuff with another dog just isn't for me, but I might be able to have play dates with dogs I'm friends with! My human friends at the shelter can tell you more.

I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me.

"As a dog walker I thoroughly enjoy walking Beatle each week; he is a true rock star. He is very calm at leash up. He loves going for walks, being with people and playing fetch. Beatle walks well on leash and does not pull. He tunes in to his walker and has been trained in commands like sit and wait. He is house trained and clearly prefers to not make a mess in his kennel. He has a fun attitude and he loves affection. This smart dog will do well with rewards based training, consistent care and exercise, and a loving family. I’m a sweet, sensitive guy who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. I hang out with a fun bunch of college kids, a 9-year-old human, and a whole crew of neighbor dogs. I love playing with my doggie friends! I can be a little unsure when meeting new people (especially kids), but I’m getting braver every day. Treats help, and once I trust you, I’m a total lovebug.

I’ve grown really close to one of the older kids in the house—he took care of me while my foster mom was away, and now we’re best buds. I’m still figuring out its okay to share my favorite toys and sometimes get a little jealous, but I’m working on it!

I’m even practicing ringing a bell to tell you when I need to go! I’m not a fan of my crate and have managed to escape a few times, but if you leave me out while you run errands or overnight, I usually do just fine. Oh, and I love water! Hoses, sprinklers, little pools… count me in!
