I am a sweet boy who is treat and connection motivated! Once I am comfortable, I'll develop a strong bond with my person. I think I'm a lap dog and I love belly rubs! I also like car rides. My finder said I was good with their cats and small dogs. We don't know about kids. My breed is a smart one, and I know sit, down and shake! I think I'm very trainable. But also due to my breed, I will need grooming. I love romping in the crunchy leaves, enjoy a good walk, which I will need regularly, and I'd love to have a fenced yard to run around in (with supervision). My favorite hobby is playing with my person or maybe even with another doggie pal. Playing helps me to burn off my excess mental and physical energy and it is the best way for me to bond with my forever family. I do get a bit mouthy and jumpy when I first get excited, but I have been working on that issue and am starting to get the hang of it, but still need a little bit more guidance and patience for the first couple of seconds. I have learned to sit, lay down, stay and I am eager to learn other tricks that will help me fit into my forever family. I also know how to go into my crate when my foster mom goes to work. I get along with other dogs, kids and know I also know how to go in a crate for a few hours! I however...do not do great with cats as I think they are for me to chase. I am a young dog, and can some times play a little rough. It would be great if someone had the time to work with me and show me the right way to play and use my mouth with positive reinforcement, I have responded great when given direction! My favorite toys are tug ropes, squeaky toys and balls! I get spooked by cars and strangers at first - so please go slow when introducing me to those things. Oh, also, my previous owner says I do great when letting you know that I have to go potty and have not had accidents! MANY GOOD LOCAL DOGS like Rosa linger at the MCAS shelter. Why are so many of our good local dogs not being helped  by OHS or other rescue groups who are "saving" dogs from out of state? (when dogs like Rosa, a local Husky mix, would love to go to a Local Rescue Group?)
