Hickory doesn't currently have a website description. He knows sit and shake, loves treats and is easy to train. He is very playful. He's a big cuddly guy, initially may be jumpy but quickly settled down for me in the yard.

No Cats
Hi there, my friends here at the shelter have been calling me Coyote because of my unique coat and looks! I was found as a stray, so not much is known about my history. However, I'm a sweet boy who knows how to sit, and gives kisses when I feel ready! It just takes me a bit to feel safe and sound as I adjust to my new surroundings. I have lots of love to give to the right and patient home who will work with me on my shyness. I was brought home for a week and they said I am trainable and a great boy, but I am a little too focused on their cat, so I came back to see my friends at MCAS until I find a home without a kitty friend. Why are so many of our good local shelter dogs not being helped by OHS or other rescue groups?
"Chance ( aka Bones) needs a good home now. From day he came in, he has disliked living in a shelter kennel, but loves being outside of one with the staff/volunteers and is quite affectionate once he knows you. Nice easy size

Max is a delightful, affectionate dog!Nice big German Shepherd! Gentle, easy to walk
and always has a wagging tail when you talk to him.
Max came into the shelter as an owner surrender. He was in very poor condition, hair loss, and underweight. He developed Kennel Cough - common in a shelter environment, even though they are given vaccinations when they enter. Possibly because of his weakened condition, Max then developed pneumonia (much more serious than KC) and was treated in the shelter hospital. We were all very grateful that he recovered!! He needs a good home now!

--------An active dog like Jackson shouldn't be cooped up for a long time. He needs to get up and move! Kennel life is tough.
Jackson is curious, does a great "sit", is affectionate and responsive to people. Needs leash training like so many young dogs, but will do much better on a "Haltie" head collar or Front Clip Harness.
Loves to run and play but also chills out with you when you sit down with him.
