Diamond Girl, female pitbull, 1 yrs, 49 lbs
 here's my Mcas weblink  Adopted!
196945
I'm Diamond Girl, a 1 year old Pitbull. I weigh about 49 lbs. I love to be with people. I would love nothing more than the snuggle or trot along with you on walks. I could use some more training regarding leash manners to make our walks more enjoyable and I'm ready to learn. The shelter is recommending kids 8 & up due to some handling sensitivity and fear.
================
 Great little pitbull! She is probably "Pearl's" Daughter.
"Diamond Girl" is quite submissive and needs a confidence boost.
 She has small patches of missing fur on her body, as you can see in her body profile pic which is fairly typical of  blue and blue/white Pitbulls. Good nutrition in her new home will definitely improve this, and she deserves to get the best in her new home!
Diamond Girl needs a gentle touch (no harsh words, please) and happy talk and treats of course :)
She will bond strongly with her people. Very lovable!

Meryl Cheep and Feather Flocklear are now hanging out together!
Meryl is the boss:)

Feather Flocklear, female Budgie here's my Mcas weblink

Feather Flocklear is an older, chatty budgie who has found herself in our care. She is social but avoids hands while in her cage. She is housed next to (but separate from) two other younger budgies and definitely enjoys their company(UPDATE- Feather is now housed with "Meryl") Ms Flocklear would do well with existing budgies in her new home.

Meryl Cheep, female Budgie
 here's my Mcas weblink
195821
Meryl Cheep is a stunning, adult Budgie who avoids hands in her cage but should be easily hand tamed and become a loyal, loving little friend to a patient owner. Budgies are social birds and won't do well in a life of isolation. If introduced properly, Meryl Cheep should become fast friends with your existing birds!

Christopher Squawken, male Budgie

Christopher Squawken is a young, adult male budgie in search of a new flock. This handsome bird is quite social & chatty but avoids hands that are in his cage. He has been housed next to but separate from another budgie and enjoys her company. Mr Squawken should integrate nicely with any existing budgies in his new home.

I am Dodger, a fun loving and energetic American Shelter Dog. I am about 6 months old and weigh 12lbs. Pups like me love to get out and play but are not always sure what to do with our mouths. I can tend to get so excited I jump for the first thing I see, and the game is on! My ideal family will be active, patient and use positive training methods to help me become a more refined pup. I think working with a trainer would be a fun way for us to bond and learn together. The shelter recommends that if there are kids in my new home that they are at least 5 years old due to jumpy/mouthy behavior.
My adoption fee is $300.00. There will be a sign up sheet at the front door at 11:00am on Thursday 8/22. Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis. Adopters must be on site to meet Dodger and complete the interview process when the shelter opens at noon.

The shelter named me Isis after the Egyptian goddess, because I resemble a Pharaoh Hound. They asked me what breed I am but I'm not talking. I am a spunky puppy about 4 months old and weigh around 28lbs. If you are looking for a fun, playful pup to add some joy to your life and help make you laugh, then look no further. If there are kids in my new home they should be at least 8 years old due to jumpy/mouthy behaviors and possible resource guarding.
My adoption fee is $300.00. There will be a sign up sheet at the front door at 11:00am on Thursday 8/22. Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis. Adopters must be on site to meet Isis and complete the interview process when the shelter opens at noon.

 ==================
 Such a smart, goofy, cute, friendly and playful pup, and fun to photo!
Would not recommend  apartment type living, as Isis has the shepherd "alert bark" that could be annoying to close neighbors if she was startled by sounds when left alone.
Isis will be a fabulous companion for a home who provides exercise and ample opportunities for her use her brain.

J.J. here! I'm an adorable mixed breed fella looking for a new home. You may have noticed my resolving skin issues - my hair is growing back quickly but I am still healing and will need my new home to be able to help me finish up my healing and hopefully regrow my fur! I'm very playful and love all toys - especially the squeaky ones. I need a home where any kids are 5 years or older. I was sensitive with being touched at first but now I'm loving it and especially the rear end scritches! Come and meet me today and lets start a new life together!
==========
When first coming to the shelter, "J.J's" skin was red and irritated,
he had extreme hair loss, he was skinny, his toe nails were horribly curled and overgrown, and as you would expect, he felt terrible.
 Poor baby!

J.J. is looking so much better today!

Here's JJ  about 5 weeks ago - already looking/feeling much
better than he did at intake. Toes nails trimmed, getting medicated baths, gaining weight.

JJ loves to carry BIG sticks

"BIRDIE" young Great Dane mix - in Foster Home

Birdie, female Great Dane mix, 1 yr 4 mths, 98 lbs
 here's my Mcas weblink 8/20 on hold for 1 (or more) interested parties
182050
Oh, hi! I'm Birdie, a great big Dane of a puppy. Life didn't start out awesome for me and I am still a little uncertain of new stuff. I've been living in a foster home for the past few months and am feeling much more confident. It turns out I like trying new things, as long as I have a patient person to reassure me.
I may already be 100 pounds but I got a lot of puppy left in me. I LOVE to play and sometimes my legs get moving faster than my brain and I crash into things. Because of my rather exuberant playstyle, I should live with sturdy kids 8 years old and up. I really do enjoy the company of kids, but the little ones tend to fall down a lot when I am around.
I would really like to have a dog friend to live with or at least regular visits for play dates. Socializing with friendly, confident dogs has helped me overcome my shyness with people. I really like dogs of all sizes and even enjoy the company of cows, goats and chickens but I am very interested in little animals that run and may not be good in a home with nervous kitties.
I can't wait to show you how good I am with my commands and crate training! I know "SIT" "WAIT" and then "OK" means I get to run around and celebrate. My leash walking is coming along and I have excellent recall. One firm "COME" from my person and I am on my way! Honestly, I am a pretty good dog. I have a sweet and loyal personality and only sometimes get it wrong about which ones are my toys and which ones are your shoes - it's just so darn confusing!
I am looking for a family that doesn't take life too seriously and will give me an outlet for my puppy energy while continuing to build my confidence through reward based training. In exchange, I will give you unwavering loyalty and entertain you with my silly antics! My ears are soft like velvet and my sweet smile will brighten any day.

"Rhea (Gloria) is a wonderful addition to our family. She is a little cuddle bug and loves to give kisses. She is very smart and so far she has learned wait, sit and leave it. We are still working on lay down, but I am sure we will get there in no time. Rhea is enjoying being showered with love and kisses and being spoiled rotten."    Sara P.

Happy Adoption: Duke Silver (aka Brownie a la Mode)

"Duke Silver (formerly Brownie a la Mode) has been nothing but a joyful light since the day he came into our lives! He has such a sweet, gentle temperament and responds so well to commands and his goofy personality has really shown through since the car ride home. His past is a mystery, but his future is clear. We just knew we had to have him in our lives. He is a social butterfly and a perfect gentleman.
