I'm Slater I make the best of every situation and I love to play! If you are looking for a fun, playful dog to add some joy to your life and help make you laugh, then look no further. I will bring endless fun and keep you entertained with my goofy antics. If you can keep up with me then I promise that we will have a life full of enjoyment with lots of great stories! I am a young pup, and I am still learning manners. I am looking for a family that can dedicate the training that comes with a high energy boy!
==========
Slater is a very smart boy and loves learning! He is also very active and will not be a pleasant dog companion if you don't provide lots of daily exercise and mental stimulation (and stay calm when he gets excited)

It's so much fun doing photos of enthusiastic pups!

Big beautiful unique mix!

here's my Mcas weblink hold for potential adopter

My name is Coco. I am a sweet little Chihuahua mix about 4 years old and weigh a whopping 8lbs. In other words I am perfect cuddly lap size and won't hog the bed.
I am really happiest being where my people are. I would love nothing more than the curl up on your lap, snuggle at nap time, or trot along with you on walks. If you are seeking a loyal and loving friend to keep you company through your life, then I am the dog for you! If there are kids in my home, the shelter recommends that they are 8 years old & up due to some fearful behaviors and handling sensitivity.

***I am taking a break from the shelter in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting me, email the foster coordinator at foster@multco.us.

I love her little face

She is very darling and will crawl into your lap.
She is quite submissive and needs confidence

Coco has a great nose and loves to smell the scents.
She perks up when something is interesting

Coco has some hair loss but her skin is not inflamed

Hi there! I'm Ice, a young dog looking for my new home. I am an active guy who loves to play! My new family should be ready to keep up with me, hiking, running, or able to walk me during the day! I am a bit jumpy and mouthy when I get excited, so kids in the home are recommended to be 5 and older. If you've been looking for a goofy and active dog I am your boy! Ask to meet me today!

Hi there, my name is Pocket Pet! I am an adorable little mixed breed that will give you years of fun guessing what mixes I could be. I'm a people pup and am really happiest being where my people are. I would love nothing more than the curl up on your lap or trot along with you on short walks. You may have noticed that I cannot walk in a straight line, from an old injury or birth defect the shelter vet says I am in no pain. Don't underestimate me because I can still get around and have a lot of love to give. I am about 5lbs and 8-1/2 years old.

Malikai, female American Shelter Dog mx, 1 yr 2 mths, 41 lbs
here's my Mcas weblink Adopted!

My name is Malikai and I am a delicate lady. I have never met an activity I did not like! If you love exercise and keeping active, then we will be fast friends. I will go for a run in the morning, a hike in the afternoon, play fetch in the evening, and unwind with some play at home before bed - and I would love nothing more than to have someone who can keep up with me. It is important that I have an outlet for my boundless energy, so let us get together and explore the outdoors! I can be fairly fearful around new people and in new environments and will need a family that can help boost my confidence with positive reinforcement training. I am also scared of raised voices and am looking for a quieter home. If you have kids in the home, they will need to be over the age of 8 years. I am a very sweet girl that will be a great project dog. Please come and meet me today!

No harsh words for Malikai please! She needs a confidence boost. Sometimes does a belly roll when she feels overwhelmed. Great little dog.  Likes fetch. Not yet ready to get into the pool to retrieve the ball though. Very adorable mix. Some pitbull in the mix, but longer fur, shorter fluffier tail and  much smaller body. The photos don't do her justice. Malikai is an exceptionally cute little dog!!

Malikai was not yet ready to venture into the pool

"SIERRA" aka "Penelope" HAPPY Adoption UPDATE!

Sierra/aka Penelope
Happy Adoption Update! July 2019
"That anxious dog we adopted about 10 months ago now is now happy and confident.  As you can see, she has filled out too.  That's solid muscle.  Mark takes her out for about an hour a day in the morning, and I take her out for 1 to 3 miles in the afternoon.  She also runs off leash quite a bit on hiking trails.  (We've found some safe out-of-the-way places.)  She responds instantly to voice commands and signals and does not run off (unlike a certain Lab we once knew and loved), so that makes it possible to let her run.

There are two things I especially love - when a baby smiles at you and when a joyful dog comes running to you.

She is such a sweetheart, affable and full of energy.  She's still shy around people and other dogs but not afraid anymore.  People constantly comment about what a beautiful dog she is."  Carol T.

I also am super smart, and know "sit", and "shake"! I will need to go to a home with no other animals, and any kids need to be 8 and older and should come meet me before I go home! Here at the shelter I'm a little overwhelmed, so the shelter is recommending a quiet home. Due to some fear and handling sensitivity, any kids in my new home should be at least 12 years old.

My name is T-bone because I'm top of the line! I'm a 2 year old American Shelter Dog (mix breed). I weigh around 53lbs. I make the best of every situation and I love to play and get petted! If you are looking for a fun, playful dog to add some joy to your life and help make you laugh, then look no further. I will bring endless fun and keep you entertained with my goofy antics. If you can keep up with me then I promise that we will have a life full of enjoyment with lots of great stories! If there are kids in my new home, the shelter recommends that they are at least 5 years old because I like to jump on people and could knock a little person over.

T-bone is somewhat nervous being in the shelter, thus appearing even more bug eyed because of it...but, he is so cute!!!

My name is Aurora. I am seeking a quiet home that will respect my need for some time to adjust. Once I know you, I will share my wonderful smile. I love to go for walks, just ask me. I know sit and shake and the shelter thinks I might even be house trained. My skin and coat needs some work, but there is a beautiful dog lurking under the surface. If there are kids in my new home, they should be at least 8 years or older due to some fearful behaviors.

Aurora got a bath today and she looks/feels much better.
Soft and shiny!

Aurora's type of hair loss may be typical of a mother dog who recently had pups, but didn't receive adequate nutrition (yet it can also be seen on mother dogs who have had proper nutrition) Aurora is already looking much better than the below photo,
and will continue to blossom in a good home.
Aurora deserves a really good home.

Hi I'm Luna. A high energy husky lady looking for my new home. I am a particular gal, and like attention on my terms and can be sort of mouthy when I don't want to be touched. I do love to play though, and will bring you my most favorite toy to play fetch and tug with! I also walk well on leash, and know sit and shake. Because I am sensitive with handling I need to go to an adult only home. I'm not a dog for a first time dog owner, and would love to go home with someone who is experienced with huskies! Ask to meet me today!

My shelter name is Amelia Earhart. I can't fly but I'm an intrepid explorer ready to journey around the neighborhood and on hikes with my new owners. I am a medium sized action packed girl who likes people. Because I can be jumpy and mouthy, the shelter recommends if there are kids in my new home that they are at least 8 years old. I'm about 2 years old and weigh around 38lbs. The shelter can't quite figure out what breed I am so they are calling me an American Shelter Dog, it doesn't really matter though, I'm just a nice dog.

Hi, I'm Bruce, an American Shelter Dog mix that came into the shelter in pretty rough shape. I was very skinny when I came in, and have been working on gaining weight and am now at a point that I can be up for adoption! Because I was so underweight, I am pretty interested in food when its around. I take treats VERY hard, and eat my food very quickly. Because of this, I need to go home with kids 12 and older. I am a very sweet boy, love to cuddle, LOVE toys, and walk great on leash! If I sound like a good fit for your home, ask to meet me today!

Bruce loves to stick his face in the water
