Mcas weblink ADOPTED Jan 2019

I am Jimmy, a fun loving and energetic Pitbull mix. Dogs like me love to get out and play but are not always sure what to do with our mouths. I can tend to get so excited I jump for the first thing I see, and the game is on! My ideal family will be active, patient and use positive training methods to help me become a more refined pup. I think working with a trainer would be a fun way for us to bond and learn together. I am eager to learn and can't wait to show you how smart I am! If you have kids in the home, they will need to be over the age of 8 years. Please come and meet me today!

I'm Margot a sweet older Doberman lady looking for a new home to call my own! Looking for a gentle girl who enjoys affection and being as close to her favorite people as possible? Look no further! I love back scritches and playing gently with a soft toy. Sometimes when I get excited I can be a little nibbly, so I need a home where any kids are 5 years or older. Take me home and lets curl up on the couch today!

Hi, I'm Elton. A shy 3 year old Chihuahua (Rat Terrier) mix. I am a bit fearful in the shelter, and take a bit to warm up to new people. If you have cookies though we will be best friends! Because I am a bit fearful, I will need a slow introduction to most new people, and any kids in the home need to be 15 and older. Ask to meet me today!

 ADOPTED!!!

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

My name is Wren and I am really happiest being where my people are. I would love nothing more than the curl up on your lap or trot along with you on walks. If you are seeking a relaxed and easy-going friend to keep you company through your life, then I am the dog for you! Through thick and thin, I will be by your side. I can be very shy with new people and may take some time to warm up, but once I do, boy watch out. I'll be stuck like glue! If you have kids in the home, they will need to be over the age of 12 years, due to my fearful behaviors. I love other dogs and feel much more comfortable when I have my canine friends around. I would probably do best with another buddy in the house. I am a playgroup rockstar! If you think we could make a great match, please come and meet me today! I am in a quieter area of the shelter, so please ask to see me. Can't wait to meet my new family!

ROSE Miniature Pinscher + Boston Terrier Mix

16 weeks old
Female
5 pounds
Can I be your little rosebud? It’s pretty lonely without a family to call my own…and at such a young age. Oh, woe is me…. I’m friendly as could be: I love people, children, other dogs, and kitties, too. I do have a very sensitive stomach so I will need a special diet and someone who offer me plenty of TLC. Oh, who is going to take me on walks? Who is going to teach me all the wonderful stuff a girl needs to learn? Who is going to give me kisses and a forever home? Who, I ask, who?
16 weeks old-5lbs.

"DINO" aka "ZEHAVI" HAPPY ADOPTION UPDATE!

Dino was first posted here on the Shelter Dogs of Portland Photoblog, then featured on Shelter Dogs of Portland Facebook - where the adopter first saw him!  We are always thrilled when one of the shelter dogs finds a great home after seeing it featured :)

UPDATE JAN 8, 2019 - on Dino's original Shelter Dogs of Portland Facebook Post!

His new name is ZEHAVI - which means Golden.....because of his beautiful eyes. (we call him Zev and Dingo Dog) He is so much fun, so sweet and we love having a puppy again. We recently lost our beautiful boy, who passed away after living with bone cancer for over a year right before the Holidays.......so our hearts are broken and little Zehavi is helping us to heal. He is crazy smart, and has a big personality....he knows how to sit, stay, come, and shake a paw now, and his potty training is going really well. The whole family is having fun with this little wild boy! He has lots of energy and toys for playing and is really feeling comfortable now with all of us, and his new home.  We have had him for about 2.5 weeks, and he is stealin our hearts. We love this little guy !!!!!!!!!! Thanks! Christie and Sunny

Hi, I'm Link! A 4 month old American Shelter Dog mix fella. The shelter doesn't quite know my breed, I might have some Pit Bull or Lab in me, but the one thing they do know is I'm full of love and FUN! I am looking for a family that is ready to take on all that a rough and rowdy puppy may bring. I use my mouth, jump, and might have accidents in the house, but am a fast learner! I have been in puppy playgroup here at the shelter, and am a little rude with my playstyle so any dogs in the home should be able to handle that.

Sweet, old ladydog seeks retirement caregivers. I'm easy to take a on a leisurely stroll and would love to lie around the house with you. I do have one peculiar habit, when I get excited I like to mount your leg, so I will need a calm, patient person to help prevent and/or redirect this behavior. My ideal home will be with a quiet person or persons.

how could anyone resist those eyes?
Mildred is in a quieter area, so please ask to see her!
