"HUDSON" happy update - awesome Mastiff mix puppy

ADOPTED!
Oct 2017

Happy Adoption Update Oct 12, 2017

"We are OVER THE MOON in love with Hudson and couldn’t be happier.  He feels like SUCH a gift and we keep scratching our heads wondering how we got so lucky??!  Other than some minor house training (potty accidents) issues he is absolutely PERFECT!  Ugh…and could he be ANY cuter or loving, we don’t think so!  SUCH a love, so eager to please, so smart, so funny, he brings SUCH extra joy (we were already a happy family) AND he brings a calmness, to boot."  -Jos T.
Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Hudson here! I'm a handsome Mastiff puppy searching for a new home to help me grow into the best dog I can be! I'm young and very enthusiastic about everything - especially being around people and playing - but I can get a little over-excited and jump up and use my mouth when playing. My new family should be prepared to help train me and use positive, reward-based training to teach me manners. I already know "sit" and would love to learn even more together! Come meet me today!

My name is Ingrid and I am really happiest being where my people are. I would love nothing more than the curl up on your lap or trot along with you on walks. If you are seeking a relaxed and easy-going friend to keep you company through your life, then I am the dog for you! Through thick and thin, I will be by your side. I can be shy and nervous at times, so if there are kids in the home, I am asking that they be over the age of 12 years. I also have some medical issues, so please speak with your adoption counselor about my needs. I am about 10 years old and weigh 13 pounds.

I have never met an activity I did not like! If you love exercise and keeping active, then we will be fast friends. I will go for a run in the morning, a hike in the afternoon, play fetch in the evening, and unwind with some play at home before bed - and I would love nothing more than to have someone who can keep up with me. It is important that I have an outlet for my boundless energy, so let us get together and explore the outdoors! As I can be very jumpy and active, I would prefer a home where any kids are over 6 years old. Please come to the shelter and ask about me today!

Adoption update Jan 27, 2017:
Honey the yellow labrador retriever mix was adopted after recovering from flea allergy dermatitis and pneumonia.  Her new family says "Honey's fur is growing back on her hind-quarters, and she's infection free, on good flea meds, and all she wants to do is snuggle with our two other dogs. " - Michelle C

Do you like sugar and spice and everything nice? You should come see me. I'm Honey, a calm older spayed female yellow Labrador Retrieve mix, who weighs about 76lbs. I'm what they call a fixer upper because I need some TLC to get my coat and skin back into shape. The shelter doctor has already got me started on the road to getting better. I am on medication that will go with me to my new home and am anxiously awaiting a nice comfy home. I will need regular flea control and a good diet. The shelter is recommending kids 6 & up because my skin and ears might be sensitive.

My name is Harley and I'm looking for a special home. I am very active, love to play, and enjoy being around other dogs. I have met several dogs here at the shelter and have been told that I'm a playgroup rockstar! I still need some work on approaching other dogs on leash, but I am fabulous once in a group. My biggest issue is trusting new people and may take a few meetings to feel comfortable. My perfect home would be one where I have plenty of room to run with not a lot of foot traffic, so to say. It would be awesome to have some sort of job on a farm where I could exert all of my energy and use my smarts! I am very smart and have quite a few tricks up my sleeve too! My new home should be feline free with adults only. I am a fabulous boy once I get to know you, and would love to sleep in the bed with you! If you are interested in meeting me, please ask a staff member to meet me as I am in a different area of the shelter. I am about 1 year 3 months old and weigh 45 lbs

"BARON" Happy update - German Shepherd boy

Happy Update Oct 17, 2017
Baron came to us 2 and half years ago as a skinny, nervous 60 pounds. As you can see, he's now a laid back 95 pounds of love. The grandchildren are his special loves. We tell him "your girls are coming', He runs to the door to wait. He's still not pleased with other dogs, but we're working on that. He's such a family member now. Such a blessing!!!"

Hello there! My name is Baron and I'm looking for a loving family to be their loyal companion. Did you know that German Shepherds are one of the most loyal breeds of dog? I am sure to make a wonderful companion and family dog. I am very mellow for a Shepherd, but of course will need plenty of exercise. Going for a walk or run would be fantastic! I already know how to sit, but am very eager to start learning more and I am very food motivated, so training should be easy. I am looking forward to being a family dog and am not one for being left outside. If you are an active person that has the time to put some training in me, please come down to the shelter today! I am about 2 years old and weigh a thin 60 pounds. I am already neutered!

If you can keep up with me then I promise that we will have a life full of enjoyment with lots of great stories! I was found tied up with my buddy, Phillip, both of us starving. If you think we could make a great team, come and meet me today! I am about 6 years old and weigh a thin 55 pounds.

==================
Someone called into the MCAS shelter, and animal services found Dade and Philip tied to a pole.
They were brought into into Dove Lewis Animal Hospital, as strays who
needed emergency vet care.
It was obvious to staff that the 2 dogs were very bonded.
Once stable, Phillip and Dade were transferred from Dove Lewis to MCAS where they
continued to get proper medical care.
They were later put up for adoption as a "Bonded Pair"
and adopted into a loving home.

My new family will need to be prepared to have the regular grooming done that my breed requires. I have gained 2 pounds since arriving here at the shelter last week. I know it doesn't seem like much, but that's equivalent to 20 human pounds. My new home should have kids over the age of 8 years, as I do like to take treats hard. Please come and meet me today!
