Happy for both of them
Oct 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 577575

Some people may say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but I beg to disagree. I think I could be number one for someone. My name is Evy, which is short for Evelyn. I'm a 5 year old 68lb. shepherd mix who is very loving when I get to know you. I would love to go on walks with a new owner, play fetch or soccer. I'm housetrained, crate trained and know sit & down. I was raised by a single woman so I do prefer women over men. Kids weren't a part of my life either so I snap to tell them to stay away because they scare me. The shelter is requiring an adult only home without other pets. If you want to meet me please email animal.care@multco.us for an appointment.

When I came to the shelter, I was very shy and shut down but the staff & volunteers here have really gotten me to come out of my shell. I can still be slightly anxious and prefer laps and nice walks to being alone with a toy. I'm about 3yrs old & weigh 9lbs. Spay & vaccines are included with my adoption! Recommend adult only home

" DILLON " a little deer

ADOPTED!
Oct 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 581516

Hi, Dillion here. I'm a shy but very sweet Chihuahua mix who's looking for a stable home without small children and an owner who can invest in some basic obedience training to build up my confidence. I'm not sure about this whole "leash up and go for a walk thing" but training will overcome that and I do allow being picked up and carried - if you do it slowly :) I'm about 1yr old, weigh 11.8lbs and was neutered on 09/27/16 Recommend- no children under 12 due to shyness

"HURRICANE" Video! loves people

ADOPTED!
Sept  2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 580212

Are you looking for a high energy boy that loves people? My name is Hurricane and I am looking for a special home where I can be your one and only. This kennel life is very stressful for me and I can't wait to find a new family that can give me lots of exercise and playtime. I have lived with kids, am crate trained, and love going for walks. Apartment life would not suit me, as I have been known to bark when I'm left alone. I also need lots of room to exert my energy and keep my mind mentally stimulated. I will need to be supervised in my yard as well, as I have been known to be an escape artist when left alone. Reward based classes are HIGHLY recommended for me to help with my impulse control. My new home will require that there are no other animals. If you think we could make a great match and you are possibly looking for a running partner, please come and meet me today! I am about 4 years old and weigh 55 pounds. I am in a different part of the shelter, so please ask a staff or volunteer member to see me.

thanks ResQ Animal Massage for my divine massage today!

"WAYLON" Basset hound mix

"Transferred to a Placement Partner"
Oct 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 580684

Howdy! My name is Waylon. As you can see, I have some of that ol' Basset Hound in me. As with an hound, I love to follow my nose and sniff out all that life has to offer. So my new family should give me secure containment or leash walk me for exercise. I love to romp around and enjoying playing chase with my human friends. I have shown pro-social behaviors when seeing dogs here in the shelter, but any intros with four-legged friends should be done slowly. My new family should know that I am currently on medication to help fix my itchy skin and eyes, but with regular check ups by the vet and consistent flea meds and baths, I should be good as new. I would do best in a home with kids over 10 as I have shown minor food guarding. Please come and see me at the shelter! I am 4 years old and weigh 46 pounds.

ADOPTED!
Oct 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (9/27 Morton has an adopter)
animal id # 580923

Hey people, Morton the goat here. Not sure how it happened, but here I am at the Animal Shelter. Nobody has been able to find my original home, so I'm gonna get neutered on the 28th and hope to find a new home after that. I'm not a totally social guy, like some goats, but I am good at eating my greens. So maybe if you need a field mowed, I could be your personal goat gardener. How about it? Come on down, we can visit

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 581343

My name is Magnolia. A beautiful southern belle with all the great qualities of a Basset Hound! My new family should be calm and patient with me, as I can be a bit more reserved at first before opening up my wonderfully playful personality! I may do well with calm, respectful kids who will give me the time to warm up to them. I have some skin issues at the moment that should get better with regular baths, good food, and some quality flea control. Please come down to the shelter to meet me! I am 3 years old and weigh 46 pounds.

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink (9/26 has an adopter)
animal # 581050

I'm in a different area of the shelter, so please ask to see me!

Hi! My name is Snowball! My friends describe me as a silly boxer cause I love people and love to play! I am deaf so I need a family that is experienced in working with deaf dogs and can teach me doggie sign language! I like being around people so I think I can be a good learner if you have the time and patience to teach me. Sometimes I get scared of things I cannot hear- so I would do best in a home with older children who can help to teach me. I am pretty goofy as well so a sense of humor is a must. Do you think you could be my forever home? I am in a different part of the shelter, please ask about me today.

animal id # 580427

Hi my name is Zeus - I'm a German Shepherd and I'm looking for my new home! My friends say that I'm a smart guy and I'm definitely looking for some mental stimulation wherever I'm headed. This will help keep me calm and happy as I am a little stressed. I really love people though I am working on how to appropriately show it because I tend to jump up. Because of this, I would probably do best in a home with older children. I'm around 2 years old and weigh 60lbs.

My name is Georgia! I am a spunky, beautiful little Heeler mix and I am looking for my next adventure. True to my breed's nature, I am a girl who is constantly looking for the next fun thing to do, so my new owners should be ready to meet my physical and mental needs! I have been friendly meeting all sorts of new people, and seem to do well in new social settings. My new home should be feline-free, though-they are just too fun to chase. Come on down and say hello! I am 2 years old and weigh 43 pounds.

"GRADY" smart active and goofy Pitmix

ADOPTED!
Sept 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 577720

Hi! My name is Grady. I am a goofy, long-legged young man who's eager to please and wants nothing more than someone fun to keep me happy and healthy! I love to romp around and play, and will need lots of physical and mental stimulation in my new home. I know sit and will even drop toys softly during playtime. I am still a young guy, and would love someone who is willing to continue training me to be a good canine citizen. I have shown pro-social behaviors with dogs, but I have a very rough playstyle that may not suit every other dog, so a meet and greet will be necessary before I go home with you. I would also enjoy a feline-free home and children 12 yrs and up. I am 1 year old and weigh 60 pounds.
