"PRINCESS" Love her! gsd mix - looking for some TLC and a loving home!

ADOPTED!
Feb 2, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!
here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 574974

Hi! My name is Princess. And that's exactly how I should be treated! I am friendly with meeting new people, and love to go on long walks with my buddies. I have peacefully coexisted with cats and dogs. I have lived with kids in the past, but it is very important that I go to a home with dog-savvy kids, as my skin and ears have left me very sensitive and will need time to heal. My new owners should be ready to keep me on regular flea medication, and should consult their veterinarian for the best way to get my skin and coat looking back to normal. Any questions, please come down to the shelter and say hello. I am 6 years old and weigh 52 pounds.

"ZIGGY" cute and goofy little guy

ADOPTED!
Feb 3, 2016

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (Jan 31 adoption pending)
animal  # 574779

My name is Ziggy! I am handsome little guy who is ready to take on the world! I enjoy adventures, so do not be fooled just because of my size-let's go hike! As you can tell, I am a very active guy so my new family should be ready for that. I like to use my nose and find all the great scents around me. I do like other dogs my size, but sometimes I can be a bit excitable, so finding the right type of playmate for me with be beneficial. Hope to see you at the shelter! I am 2 years old and weigh 12 pounds.

"ROCKY" - alaskan husky mix likes kids and playful dogs

ADOPTED!
Jan 30, 2016

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal # 574722

Hi! My name is Rocky. I am a 2.5 year old Husky mix, and I want to be your next friend! In my previous home I lived with kids and really seem to like kids a lot! I have experience with other dogs and would appreciate a rowdy playmate. I have my basic commands down, and I really like stuffy toys too! My previous home said that I would escape the back yard sometimes, so secure containment and supervised time outside will be necessary to help me out! Did I mention I love to meet new people!? I know this seems like a lot of information, but I think it is all great stuff for you to know! See ya soon so we can become best friends!

"SNUGGLES" soft and snuggly Longhaired Chihuahua

ADOPTED!
Jan 31, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 574623

So my shelter name is Snuggles. While it might sound silly, I fit the bill. I'm a soft and snuggly little guy weighing in at a whopping 6 lbs. so I'm the perfect size for just about anyone's lap. I'm shy with new people at first, so the shelter recommends a home without noisy toddlers. Respectful kids who will allow me time to get to know them might be okay. The shelter says I’m about 2 years old and that I did well sharing a room with another small dog so I might like a companion in my new home. If you are looking for a lap dog and someone to snuggle with, you should come check me out.

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!
Stewie is in a MCAS Foster Home

here's my Mcas weblink  (1/24 pending adoption)
animal # 573915

Hello, my name is Stewie!!! I am a silly young man who lives to show off his moves on the dance floor! My new family should be prepared to have a good relationship with my vet because I have a condition that causes my eyes to be dry. I also have some skin allergies. Despite my sad shape, I am full of personality, playful with toys, walk nicely on leash, and friendly with people. Please ask about me! I am around 10 years old and weigh 12 pounds. It is recommended that any children in my family be 10 years or older due to my insecurities about handling. I am currently in foster care. To set up a time to meet me, email alix.womack@multco.us.

"JUNIOR" senior poodle mix

ADOPTED!
Jan 29, 2016

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal # 574690

My name is Junior. At least that was my name when I was a young guy! Now I am an older, respectful gentleman who is looking for a quiet home to retire. I do still enjoy my walks, and I am very food motivated. It is recommended that I go to a home with kids over 13, or maybe even just adults, as my vision and hearing are not as good as they used to be! I am still a happy guy, and could make my new owners happy too! I am 13 years old and weigh 23 pounds.

"ELECTRA" needs activity, stability, patience, love, mental stimulation- Labrador Retriever

ADOPTED!
Jan 29, 2016

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal # 574748

Hello! My name is Electra. I believe in having fun, all the time. That's right! My friends here at the shelter don't think I have had a bad day in my life. I am just full of energy and happiness. As my new owner, you will need to understand just how much energy I have in me-I'd rather not be a stay at home house dog. It's strongly recommended that I be enrolled in some classes, or have an owner willing to find me an outlet for my physical and mental needs (I am good with my nose-maybe that's a start!). I have basic commands down, and I am very friendly with new people. It is recommended that I live with 10 and older kids due to my physical play and romp-around attitude! I am 1 year old and weigh 57 pounds.

some Electra pics today - from "start to finish"...  sweet dog!

"MARLEY" I look like a puppy!

ADOPTED!
Jan 28, 2016

Thanks to the MCAS Foster Dog Program, and the MCAS staff and medical team, Marley is looking and feeling 1000% better in just a few months of good care. He is very cute!!

Marley came into the MCAS shelter ( with extremely swollen feet, inflamed and painful skin, and much of his hair missing)
Marley has/had Demodex mange (please see Marley's "before photos")
Demodex mange is a condition that is NOT contagious to people or other dogs, and (THANKS  to breakthroughs in  medical science, and people who care about dogs) these days Demodex is very  treatable!

animal # 572756

Hello there! My name is Marley. I am one of those cute dogs that looks like a puppy still even though I am over 2 years old. When I came to the shelter I was covered in mange and looking quite sad. The shelter and my foster family have helped me get a great start. I am feeling much better now! I am already housetrained and crate trained. I love people and have a great level of energy where if I get daily walks I'm a good, happy boy. I love to learn new things and already know how to sit, stay and come. I am working on down still. I can chew a little still and need plenty of toys to prevent this. I also get really excited when meeting new dogs. If you have one, that's ok they just need to know that I am still a puppy at heart. The shelter recommends that I go to a home with kids over 10 years old because I still play pretty rough with my mouth and we don't want anyone to accidentally get hurt. I also think cats are here for me to chase. My foster mom says I need to go to a home without them because I would likely hurt one on accident. If you are looking for an active, playful puppy-like dog to go on walks/uns with you and learn basic training/manners, I am your guy! Come down to the shelter and meet me today!

Here's me now, Jan 2, 2016 in my foster home!
I am adorable, and feeling Good!
and ready for a great new home - just ask to meet me

"BEFORE"
and here's me on Nov 2, 2015 - just before I left the shelter to go into a MCAS Foster home
my life sure got better!

"DELBERT" strong and friendly Lab/Golden Retriever mix

ADOPTED!
Jan 28, 2016

I'm a great dog - please appreciate me and send nice updates?

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink (pending adoption 1/28)
animal # 574293

Heya! I'm Delbert, a big lug of a labrador mix. I'm about 2 years old and 75lbs. of on the go! I'm very friendly but don't appear to have any manners. I'm looking for an active home that will commit to teaching me what to do to be a good companion pet. Walking me is not for the  frail or faint of heart. The shelter recommends using a head halter & tiring me out before walks. I got a late start on learning to behave so the shelter is strongly recommending sturdy kids at least 8 years old because I will knock over smaller kids. I would also likely need a home without cats please.

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink (adoption pending 1/21)
animal # 574457

Who wants to taste the rainbow? My name is Skittles and though I really don't want you to taste me, I want you to experience the colors of my heart. I am a happy, bouncy girl that loves people! I'm looking for a family that can teach me the basic skills in life to become an outstanding canine companion. I am still just a youngster and will need a little guidance. It should be fairly easy though because I love to please. I will also need someone who can take care of my skin. My breed's skin is very sensitive and will need some extra care. Please ask your adoption counselor about this if you have questions. I am about 5 months old (still have puppy teeth) and weigh 21 pounds. Please come and meet me today

"SHADOW" Nice terrier mix - might like a doggie buddy in the home

ADOPTED!
Jan 28, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 574479

Hello, my name is Shadow. I'm a 5 year old terrier mix that came in with my buddy Brutis. I think that if I am not adopted with him, I would also benefit from going to a home with a same-sized companion. I came in with a lot of matts and long toe nails. I was a champ at letting staff shave off the matts and give me a pedicure. I still need a spa day to look my best, but with a some TLC I'm gonna be a rock star for someone

" JACKSON " - aussie mix- sweet senior sort - Update - great with CATS!

ADOPTED!

Jackson will be much loved in his new home!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!
Jackson is now in a MCAS Foster Home

here is my weblink
animal # 573143

Hi, my name is Jackson and I’m ready to find a new home! I’m a sweet senior sort with a few lumps and bumps that come with age but I’m here to tell you I’ve still got some pep in my step. I do love my walks and even enjoy having me feet hosed off and getting towel dried after. Bath time is fun! I’m currently residing in a foster home and doing very well with the other mature dogs and cats in the home. I seem to be house trained but must admit I’m not a fan of this crate training thing. I will require a home that will give me time to settle and adjust to my new environment and schedule. Change is stressful! I’m a very responsive boy that knows sit, laydown, stay and likely much more. I love attention but need a family with mature children that know to not jump on my senior hips. I’ll also need sturdy adults because I’m a lover and leaner and wouldn’t want to knock grandma over! To learn more about this charming boy contact Angela, his foster mom at 503-807-1516

thanks foster mom Angela, for giving me a break from the shelter, and taking some cute pics of me
I'm really chill with cats, and the kitty rules the dog bed

on a walk today with my foster buds
I love getting daily walks!

thanks Sarah, I had fun on our walk at the shelter

I have perfect polka dots on one ear :)
