"NALLA" UPDATE I love people, hiking, swimming and more

ADOPTED!!!
Aug 6, 2015

Hi there, Nalla here.  I LOVE PEOPLE!  I am a great dog on field trips and just so much fun to be around! It might be easier if I was the only dog in the home, just so I could find a good home and get out of here, without worrying about any other stuff.... but all compatible dogs are still welcome to meet me;)

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my Mcas weblink

Hi there, I'm Nalla. I'm a 5 year old female Pitbull mix. As you can see I've had a litter of puppies while I was out and about, but I'm done with that now and ready to settle in as someone's pet. I am 60 pounds of people lovin' Pitbull, active and full of kisses and nibbles. Because I'm so friendly, the shelter recommends kids 8 & up because my tail could be dangerous to kids at eye level. My best match with other dogs is a medium to large respectful male. Come meet me, I could be your new best friend

Here's me on another day trip with MCAS volunteer Katia!

"Chico was adopted from here in 2006 and ended up back here because of a series of unfortunate events. He only spent 4 days here this visit and which is pretty good for a 10 year old dog. His new family includes another senior dog.. 14 yo Springer spaniel. They should be very happy together."

here's my Mcas weblink

Hey everybody! My name is Chico and I'm looking for a new family. Unfortunately my owners could no longer care for me, so I have found myself here, looking for love. I am quite the little socialite and love people, although I have not been around children. My previous owners had wonderful things to say about me. I have lived with other dogs, cats, and even caged birds and did great with all of them. I am very outgoing, but also a calm, lap dog in the home. I would make a great addition to your home. Please come and visit me today! I am about 10 years old and weigh 17 pounds.

" KITZU" happy, lovable young medium size Akita mix

ADOPTED!
Aug 5, 2015

GREAT Dog!  goofy, has a soft temperament, fun. Definitely needs activity and daily time commitment in her life!

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink (adoption pending 8/5)

Hey everybody! My name is Kitzu and I'm ready for a new home! Unfortunately my owners could no longer care for me and I have myself her at the shelter once again. I am a great girl that will highly benefit from an active home that can keep me supervised. I can be quite the little escape artist and will need a family that can manage that. Maybe I could go to doggy daycare while you're at work? I also enjoy going camping and love to swim. I have even lived with an indoor rabbit and we were best of friends. I also get along great with other dogs. I'm not too sure about cats, I just want to play, but they don't seem to appreciate that much. I am super smart and would benefit from having some activities to do, like agility or hiking. Please come down and meet me today! I have so much more to tell you. I am just over 1 year old and weigh 60 pounds.

"BENTLEY" I'm quite cool!

"TRANSFERRED" To Pixie Project!
thank you!

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
I was here last year and adopted,  (and I believe the same thing happened to me the year before)
I don't want kids mauling me.....and I don't like other dogs being so LOUD in the shelter, ya know.  That scares me to no end.........oh man   So here I am, hanging out,   It's really tough for me to come back to a shelter, and I'm feeling quite stressed out, surely you can understand that? I am currently in a quieter area in the shelter. I hope you want to find out more, and arrange to meet me! please email animal.care@multco.us.

Hi my name is Bentley, so nice to meet you. I am a handsome young man looking for an active family with no cats or children under 16 to help shape me into the best dog you have ever had. Sadly, my living situation has never been very stable and as a result, I have a couple of things to refine! My family said I am housetrained, love to snuggle, and can get myself into trouble when bored. The shelter is recommending that we go to classes together as a first step towards my perfection. We will all be learning so much I know it will be a blast. I am 4 years old and weigh about 70 lb.-- Because I am so stressed out in the shelter I am not currently in the general adoption area. If you are interested in meeting me, please email animal.care@multco.us.

"DRAKE" cool German Shepherd - in foster home

ADOPTED!
Aug 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!
Drake is currently in a MCAS Foster Home!

here's my Mcas weblink

Drake is a gorgeous German Shepherd that was brought to the shelter with a badly broken leg. After months in a caring foster home he’s all healed up and ready to join a new family. Drake is your typical smart, inquisitive and active Shepherd. He’s seeking a family that will offer long walks, play time and using his big brain in training sessions. He’s a lover of all people but has a rough play style that’s best suited to sturdy children, like sized dogs and no kitties please. Drake will require high quality food, attentive owners and lots of family time. He’s crate trained, loves car rides and is very house trained. Contact Alix, the foster coordinator @ 503-988-6247 to schedule a meet and greet.

thanks foster mom for my cute pics, and for being my MCAS foster home, and for taking such great care of me during my broken leg recovery!

here's me with my foster home buddies.  I sometimes drive them crazy wanting to play so much ;)

"BESSIE" pretty Pitmix will thrive in a calm home with active owners

ADOPTED!
Aug 4, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my Mcas weblink  (8/1 adoption pending)

My name is Bessie and I'm looking for a new home. As you can see I have had plenty of puppies and I am done with that for good. I am a very social girl that loves people and I love to give kisses. I do still need to learn some manners though. I just get so excited I can't take it, so sometimes I will jump up to give you a kiss. I am asking that my new home not have any kids under 6 years old, due to this. The little ones could easily take a tumble with my exuberance. Reward based classes should really help me learn how to be polite though. If you are looking for a stunning, active girl, than please come down to the shelter and meet me today! I am about 2-1/2 years old and weigh 55 pounds.

"EARL" the Mearle - Catahoula/pitmix

ADOPTED!
July 30, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Hi my shelter name is Earl which rhymes with Merle a name for my distinctive pattern to my coat. I am a handsome boy that needs a loving family to help get me in tip top shape. I may need a special diet for short term or furrever. At the very least I will need a high quality food. The shelter is recommending I get my heart checked out as I have a heart murmur. Please ask your adoption counselor more about this.
I will respond well to classes so the shelter is offering 1/2 price adoption if you sign up for reward based training classes prior to taking me home. Because I can get excited easily with play etc the shelter is asking that families with respectful children at least 10 years old ask about me. Won't you ask about me today?

Earl  loves the Pool!!! Funny, he kept digging around the sides of it, and yeah...he was just trying to swim!!!  Sorry Earl, the poor is NOT deep enough! Maybe your next home will take you swimming!

"GUINEA PIGS" - to good homes

An adult should always be the responsible pet caretaker....

Guinea Pigs are awesome little pets, and nice easy companions!. They need gentle, loving, well informed people to adopt them. Guinea Pigs are usually good with kids .....but a pet should never be only a "child's responsibility" An adult should always be the responsible pet caretaker. Children can grow bored, and then what happens to the pet if the adult isn't also caring about the pet?

A Guinea Pig would love the companionship of another GP!
