I'm a very big handsome guy, a healthy 100 pounds with lots of loose skin around my neck, so you know that you'll want to pet me! I'm a big boy with warm brown eyes that will adore you!  I love attention and will sit gently lean into you hanging out while you pet me!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Many  people want a Lab/mix....but sometimes when they get one, they don't expect the time/commitment it takes to give us enough attention, exercise and mental stimulation - which is so important for success! so..... I might not be perfect in some people's lives, but I sure am a perfect dog for "someone!"

"GYPSY" maybe cattle type/hound mix?

Gypsy is beautiful!  She is a pretty brindle color, with soft floppy ears, gentle big brown eyes and with a slender face. Definitely a mystery mix! (maybe a little cattle dog/hound in the mix?) Gypsy is nervous in the shelter world, but bring her out of the kennel, and you'll see a happy, affectionate,  and intelligent dog who really tunes into you!  She would love an active owner to take her places and continue to positively socialize her!

"DYSON" cute Puppy!

Dyson is a cute and charismatic pup. He’s gotten off to a great start in a foster home. He’s learned his house and crate training and gotten loads of handling and socializing. Dyson loves meeting other nice dogs and is fully of happy puppy wiggles, wags and kisses for people of all sizes. Dyson has the makings of a great family dog but like any puppy will need owners committed to continued education. The more you put into this smart young man the more he’ll shine. We’d like to see him grow into a breed ambassador! To assure everyone gets off on the right paw the shelter is requiring that his new family sign him up for classes. He’s sure to be the class star and make you proud! Dyson is approximately 5 months old. I'm growing quickly!  Here is me 5 weeks ago, a silly goofy guy!

Here I am now, so very handsome!  I've been in a foster home, and now  I am housetrained and crate trained too!

 

 

 

 

 

"MAXIE" a little love in Foster Home!

Max, a darling little Shi Tzu, came to MCAS as part of a cruelty/neglect investigation. He spent 249 days in the care of MCAS. The shelter environment can be stressful for animals, especially the more fragile animals. Fortunately for Max, he spent much of that time in one of our caring foster homes. We're thrilled to report that Max was just adopted into a loving new home.

 

I'm an oldie but goodie! right now I'm in an MCAS foster home with other dogs and a cat and get along fine, but I'd rather be cuddling with you!...

 I have a few medical issues, and my monthly medication costs about $1 a day.  But my bubbly personality is sure to add so much more to your life!

"KOOSH" I love to Cuddle!

"Koosh" was like many dogs when he first came into the animal shelter - a "new place", often loud with barking dogs, and different from what he ever experienced .....Koosh was scared, and didn't know what to do, and it took him some time to settle and realize that everything was really Ok!! (as staff and volunteers at MCAS reassured him - using treats, "Open Paw Training" consistency and gentle happy voices, to help Koosh adjust and let him know that everything was cool!

 

 

 Koosh is a FABULOUS little boy,  an affectionate, attentive any bonding type of guy.  He deserves a very dedicated home that will stick with him through thick and thin!!
