Border Terrier mix, spayed female, housetrained, 1 yr 12 lbs

ok with Dogs, Cats, older Kids   Adoption fee $400

Personality: Affectionate, Brave, Curious, Friendly, Funny, Playful

Norma Jean, our 12 pound 1 year old terrier mix, isn't afraid of anything. Public speaking? No problem. Spiders? Just an 8 legged friend she hasn't met yet. Norma Jean is so brave, even traffic didn't deter her from playing in the street. Although (as you'll find out) that didn't go perfectly for her, Norma Jean remains as courageous as ever.

The shelter asked us to take in Norma Jean after she was found stray and injured. Likely hit by a car (oops), Norma Jean sustained a broken pelvis. She's been with us for weeks and has healed really well! The injury caused some sciatic nerve damage, so Norma Jean has a mild limp and decreased sensation in one of her back legs. But, she is in no pain, and her mobility is continuing to improve. Norma Jean may need to wear a baby sock or booty on her bum foot on longer walks so she doesn't scrape it. If having to buy one tiny dog booty doesn't encourage an adopter, we don't know what will.

Norma Jean loves people. Well, adult people. Loud small kids are confounding to her, but older children should be just fine. When Norma Jean is not playing and romping around, she is snuggling. A huge fan of lounge time, Norma Jean would love to live with someone who wants a lap dog.

Our Norma Jean is great with other dogs, but we have not yet seen her with cats. A slow introduction to dog savvy cats should be fine. She is crate and potty trained. A big fan of chewing, Norma Jean will require toys in her new home. She's still learning hands are NOT toys, but is getting the hang of it.

Norma Jean is heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on her flea and heartworm preventative.

If Norma Jean were a person, she'd probably be a daredevil or tightrope walker. But, Norma Jean is a dog and her only current challenge is finding a home. Is it yours?
