"ABNER" *Shelter FAV!* sweetie senior sharpimix? pitmix? (maybe just a little bit senile?) "OHS- PORTLAND"

 UPDATE 5/29/25 ADOPTED!!

ABNER is an little old man with a fun personality. He has an "older guy head structure" indented above and under his eyes, where there is muscle loss- so some people think he looks "a little odd".  Abner has some smooth skin/hair loss on his tail, and nose which I think adds to his charm.

The feel of his hair is a little briskly (I think he has some shar -pei, as Abner also has dainty little feet and face wrinkles) but you're want to pet him anyway because he loves it. You start to like the feel of the bristles :)

Abner gives a quiet little "woff/woff" to get your attention.

He likes to eat his meals following a nice short walk and social time, so you know he is happy with the exercise and attention that you give to give

Abner is a (maybe a little bit senile?)  nice little old man!

What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • I came all the way to OHS through the Second Chance Program.
  • I may be a mature gentleman, but I have a young spirit!
  • Will my performance of spins, hops, and woofs convince you to pick me? I hope so!
  • I may look like a big boy, but I'll do my best to convince you I'm a lap dog!
  • I have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and will require life-long medical management.

The type of home I'm looking for:

  • I would love to live in a family that has someone at home most of the time
