"JESS" slower moving, sweetie Pitbull

ADOPTED!
Jan 22, 2016

Available for Adoption with Oregon Humane Society!

here is my OHS  weblink
animal #183197

Hi, I’m Jess and I’m hoping you’re the best friend for life I’ve been searching for! Add me to your life, and we can do all sorts of fun things together: go for walks, play fun games, learn new tricks, and have great times together. It’ll be fun for us to learn about each other as we spend time together doing all the things best friends do. I can be picky with my other dog friends and may prefer to be the only dog in the home. I’m always ready to make new friends, and greet a smiling face and gentle touch with wiggles and wags. I do so hope you’ll choose me! I’ll add that little extra something your life has been missing until now; a fluffy bundle of love on four legs! See you soon! Jess came to OHS through the Second Chance Program from Clackamas County Dog Control. A medical consult is included prior to Jess’ adoption.

You can also look at www.dogstardaily.com to start researching fun training tips for puppies! Please ask to meet me. I am around 6 months old and weigh 8 pounds.

" LEWIS " nice Lhasa mix

ADOPTED!
Jan 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink  (1/16 has an adopter)
animal # 574352

Hi there! My name is Lewis and I'm looking for a new home! I am a pretty social guy that loves people! I can get a little unsure of general handling, so I will need someone to go slow with me. I love food, so it shouldn't be hard to win me over. I already know how to sit and shake, so I have a great start. The shelter is recommending that children in the home be over the age of 10 years as sometimes I don't  like to share. I hope you can look past that though and focus on my cuteness! I am about 4 years old and weigh 22 pounds. Please come and meet me today!

here's my MCAS weblink  ( 1/19 Happy Feet has an adopter)
animal # 574537

Hi there, the shelter thinks I'm the cutest thing ever and they've named me Happy Feet. Come meet me and you'll see why. I'm so excited and full of joy that I just can't stop dancing and prancing. I'm about 5 months old and weigh 25lbs. I'm not gonna be a huge girl but I will be solid. The shelter is saying I'm an American Shelter Dog because I probably have a lot of different breeds in me. If you are active and light on your feet you should check me out because I'm a dancing doll!

"DRAKE" fabulous young Lab mix

ADOPTED!
Jan 17, 2016

Gentle training only please!  I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to scary stuff, and any over-firm corrections would  scare me a lot and make me act really nervous!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink (adoption pending 1/16)
animal # 574296

Drake is a goofy, 2-year-old Lab mix with a lot of puppy-like energy. His new family should be prepared for an active dog and commit to daily, vigorous exercise and continue his training using positive reinforcement. If you want the canine equivalent of a couch potato, this isn't the guy for you. But if you want a dog to go running and hiking with, this is your guy! Drake will be neutered as part of his adoption. I weigh a thin 71 pounds.

Hello, my name is Sweet Potato! I am a nice mature lady who can't wait to find something that feel familiar! No offense to my kind shelter friends but I'm not digging their accommodations and can't wait to be in a home! My new family will need to speak with their vet about having my teeth cleaned and a good weight loss program so that I can be in tip top shape! Our breed requires regular grooming to keep our coat mat free. Please ask about me! I am around 4 years old and weigh 38 pounds!

It is recommended that my new family have older respectful children and they will also need to have my teeth cleaned at my new vet. Please consider me! My name is Artemis. I am a wonderful young gal and ready to run! My friends here have seen my fun, loving side, but sometimes when I meet new people I can be shy and need time to adjust. Once I do, though, watch out. I will be your friend for life! I could really benefit from positive reward-based training, and lots of socializing with people and other dogs. With you, I can grow up to be an awesome dog! I am 10 months old and weigh 34 pounds.

Hi there, my name is Funny Face - actually people say I have a very interesting & sweet face. I am very smart and know "sit" & "shake". I can actually do shake with each paw! I am very friendly, attentive, & exuberant. I am very focused on people & love food! So, because I love food, people, & just want to please, I should be fun to train. I like to use my nose and I would love it if my new home wanted to do nosework or tracking classes with me. Because I find smells so very interesting, please don't allow me off leash until we both know for sure I can resist temptation and come back when I'm called. I'm a 3 year old Pitbull mix and weigh a compact 50 lbs.

"LAMBERT" cool Cairn Terrier mix

ADOPTED!
Jan 15, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink (  1/14 pending adoption)
animal # 574404

The shelter named me Lambert after the actor who played in the Highlander. I think it's a good name for a Cairn Terrier mix like me. I'm a young lad about 2 years old. I'm an active dog, and thus will need a daily walk and play to take care of my exercise needs. I can be mouthy so a home with toddlers might not be a good match. The shelter people said I'm pretty smart and that obedience class and trick training would be fun and a good thing for my new owner to do with me. I sometimes like to play keep away so adopters with a busy household or kids will want to take appropriate measures to keep me from getting out.

"SEEKER" - "in person" I look like a puppy :)

"Returned to owner!"
Jan 12, 2015

yay
Folks, please always check with the local County Animal Shelter(s) if you have lost or found a pet, and please try to ensure that all of your pets always are wearing collars/id tags (and hopefully microchips too), to help them find their way home again if they get lost

animal # 574379

Hello! Seeker's my name. I'm a on the go little guy who likes to check everything out with my nose. You might say I'm on the hunt for the perfect home. I'm about 2 years old and weigh 16lbs. No one is sure exactly what type of dog I am so my adopters will have years of fun guessing. I will need some help with housemanners so the shelter recommends using a crate or some method of confinement while I'm learning.

Hello, my name is Styles! Have you seen my tricks? I have some super strong back legs and can stand on them for quite a long time! Do you know anything about my breed mix? Well then I'm sure you have heard that we can be very insecure with strangers and prefer that anyone new respect my personal space until we feel that you can be trusted! Bring along some cheese or hot dogs and a rope toy or tennis ball to meet me and you will soon see myself starting to relax. A quiet household without children under the age of 8 that can teach me some cool tricks, go for fun walks, and provide me with unconditional love is what I seek! Please ask about me! I am around 5 years old and weigh a lean 7 pounds

My name is Tawny and I am looking for a home to call my own. I am looking for an active home that can take me for daily walks. My new family will also need to be committed to daily grooming to keep my coat mat free. I came to the shelter with lots of mats in my hair and I really don't want that to happen again. I hope that's not too much to ask because I am a comical girl that will bring a smile to your face everyday. Please come and meet me today! I am about 5 years old and weigh 11 pounds

Hey there, I'm a cute little Peanut of a guy looking for a good home. I'm about 7-8 years old and weigh about lbs. The shelter says I'm a fixer upper. That means I need a bath and a hair cut and I especially need the hair around my eyes trimmed. I already had my medical exam and a pedicure. My nails were very long but I was a good boy and now I will be able to walk more comfortably. A new owner should plan to take me to the groomer every 4 - 6 weeks so I look my best. Come check me out, just ask for me Peanut

"JORDAN" darling pup - with special needs

ADOPTED!
Jan 10, 2015

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 573855

Who's looking for a sweet guy with special needs? My name is Jordan and I'm looking for a special family. My personality is beaming, although I can be a tad shy in new situations. I am still a pup at 10 months old and will need guidance from my new parents to become a superb canine companion. I am full of spunk and energy, but will need special exercises to keep my hips well muscled. As you can see, I have some funky hips. Xrays have revealed that both of my hips are dislocated. It is unknown if this is a congenital deformity or caused by some sort of trauma. I'm getting around great right now and am not showing any signs of pain. My new family will need to be financially prepared for the possibilities that I may have to have surgery later in life. You will need to speak with your Veterinarian about this potential. It will be very important for me to stay at a lean, healthy weight to keep any extra pressure off of my hips. I know this a lot to ask, but I am the sweetest boy ever and deserve the chance to have a place in your heart. Please come and meet me today!

"JET" Pointer/hound mix - maybe a doggie buddy will help?

ADOPTED!
Jan 8, 2016

Available for Adoption with Oregon Humane Society!

here is my OHS  weblink
animal #179712

I have a video! Did you stop in your tracks as you saw Jet? He is a handsome fella isn’t he? He is more than just good looks however; he is full of life and ready to take on the world. We recommend mature or dog savvy children for Jet so they can handle his enthusiasm and will be able to also work with him on training. Jet is a loving, social boy, but needs a home where he will have company all the time. If you lead an active life and can keep this man busy then maybe he could be the companion for you. A training consultation is included prior to Jet’s adoption to help get everyone off on the right paw!
