"BAILEY" Kelpie mix

ADOPTED!
Oct 2017
Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

Mcas weblink

I have never met an activity I did not like! If you love exercise and keeping active, then we will be fast friends. I will go for a run in the morning, a hike in the afternoon, play fetch in the evening, and unwind with some play at home before bed - and I would love nothing more than to have someone who can keep up with me. It is important that I have an outlet for my boundless energy, so let us get together and explore the outdoors! I do have some handling sensitivities and don't like people moving too fast in my direction, so the shelter is recommending any kids in my new home be 8 years old or older. If I seem like a catch to you, come down and say hello today!  1 yr 27 lbs
I may still be in a different area, so ask to see me.

"JOLENE" darling teenage Lab/border collie mix

ADOPTED!
Sept 2017

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

JOLENE mcas weblink ( adoption pending 9/29)
animal # 122392
Jolene here! I'm a sweet little Lab/Border Collie mix girl here to steal your heart! Like all puppies, I am a bundle of fun and goofy energy. Sometimes I get too enthusiastic and like to try to chew on my leash so I will need some basic manners training to help me be a perfect doggie citizen. As an active and intelligent lady who already knows "sit", I would love a home able to provide me with ample mental and physical stimulation. If you are looking for a smart companion to spend your days with, I'm your girl! 9 mths, 35 lbs (not fully grown)

Please note - these quick pics were taken the same day as Jolene's spay surgery. She was still quite sedated :)

"LEO" sweet little Bow-legged Pitmix

"TRANSFERRED" to a MCAS Placement Partner!
Oct 2017
"One of the best dogs I've EVER worked with...he is such a sweetie. Whoever gives him a forever home will be the luckiest dog parent in PDX."   MJ

and some recent Mcas Facebook comments about Leo:
"He's the sweetest! Calm, patient, doesn't pull,
and cute as can be!" LM

"Love this little guy, such a sweet personality

 when we visit him." AR

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

mcas weblink

Hi there! My name is Leonardo and I'm looking for a new home. I'm a sensitive guy that can get easily frightened by new things & people. It appears that I haven't had a whole lot of work on the leash & with general handling, so my new adopters will need to help show me that the world isn't so scary. I will need lots of positive interactions in my newly adopted life. Once I feel comfortable though, I am quite the clown. If you have kids in the home, they will need to be over the age of 10 years old. I came to the shelter with a pretty severe skin condition that my human friends here will tell you all about. I was also born with deformed front legs & although they are not causing me any pain now, I may develop arthritis as I age. Please speak with your adoption counselor about my medical needs. If you think we could make a great match, please come & meet me today! I'm about 2 years old & weigh 50 pounds. I must be the only animal in the home as i do not get along with cats or other dogs.

"SARGE" statuesque MinPin

ADOPTED!
Sept 2017

Happy Adoption: Sarge

"[Sarge] is a wonderful and loyal companion. He is so smart and has no bad habits. His profile should have said 'perfect in every way.' Everyone that meets him falls in love, just like I did. [His adoption] was a great experience. I am so glad I found him, and he found his forever home. Thank you"

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

Sarge here! I'm a handsome Miniature Pinscher on the hunt for a new home of my own. I am an independent fella who enjoys the simple things in life - a nice long walk and a tasty treat. I already know "sit" and "shake" and would love to demonstrate for you - especially if you have a treat! Don't be fooled by my cool composure - I like to have some fun, just hold out a leash and watch me hop around with excitement! I don't like my face to be handled too much and so I would need a home where any children are 5 years or older and can respect my boundaries. I don't care to be left alone, so I am searching for a home where someone can take me with them or there will be someone home with me. Come stop by!

I am the dog who is always prepared for a marathon - as long as it is a movie marathon. There is nothing I love more than a cozy, warm bed and some good company. We can discuss our favorite foods while you give me pets and attention. I promise to provide you with lots of laid-back love and friendship if you save me a spot on the couch - or at least on the floor next to you! I can be shy at first, but once comfortable I am quite the sweetheart. I would prefer a quiet, low-traffic home and the shelter recommends kids 8 and older if they are in my new home. I do not shy away from novel situations and if you can keep me mentally and physically stimulated, I will be your loving friend forever.  1 yr old

"BABY BELLS" tri-colored little mix

ADOPTED!
Sept 2017
Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

Baby Bell might do great in a home with a compatible dog who was more outgoing than she is, to help her gain confidence.
Mcas weblink  (adoption pending 9/26)
animal # 121470

Baby Bells here! I'm a small little girl who's been a bit scared here at the shelter but I'm starting to warm up quickly! I am really happiest being where my people are. I would love nothing more than the curl up on your lap or trot along with you on walks. If you are seeking a close friend to keep you company through your life, then I am the dog for you! Through thick and thin, I will be by your side. Because it takes time for me to warm up and I can be a little fearful, I would need any children in my new home to be 5 years or older and go slow with me. I'm in a different area of the shelter to ask to meet me!

Hi there! My name is Neville and I'm looking for a loving home. I was found by a good sam and was almost unrecognizable. My hair was so matted, infested with fleas, and my poor toenails were curled over. You couldn't even tell that I was a dog. Now that I've been shaved, I am feeling much better and am looking for a family that will make sure to take care of my hair so this doesn't happen again. I am a very sweet little guy that loves treats, soft toys, and exploring. I can be a bit needy and will bark if you don't pay attention to me though. I may not be best suited for apartment life. If you think we could make a great match, please come and meet me today! I am about 8 years old and weigh 7 pounds.

Hi there! My name is Oscar and I'm looking for a relaxing home. I am a gentle guy that is pretty laid back, but still enjoy going for daily walks. I do have some medical issues, so please speak with your adoption counselor about my needs. I did get neutered and have a dental here at the shelter, which is helping me feel better. I was in pretty rough shape when I arrived here and spent some time in foster care gaining enough wait for me to have surgery. The shelter has determined that I should not live with other dogs and will need a home without any canine friends. If you're looking for someone to binge watch Netflix with, I'm your boy! Please come and meet me today! I am about 12 years old and weigh 45 pounds

Here's  Oscar when he was first brought into the MCAS shelter - severly underweight with painful dental issues and thin hair/inflammed skin.
