Hello! My name is Riley, and I'm an 8-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi weighing in at about 35 pounds of pure sweetness.

For my entire life, I've been my dad's faithful companion. We shared our days together, and every night I slept right next to him in bed. Sadly, my dad is moving into memory care and can't take me along. It's been a big change for both of us, and now I'm hoping to find a new family to love.

These days, I spend a lot of time alone in an empty house, which isn't my favorite thing. I'd much rather be with my people, whether we're out for a walk, taking a car ride, relaxing on the couch, or just hanging out at home together. I don't need constant entertainment—I just enjoy being part of the family.

I'm a happy, healthy boy who still enjoys a little adventure. I can climb stairs, hop in and out of the car, and I walk very nicely on a leash. Around children, I'm relaxed and gentle. When it comes to other dogs, I'm mostly aloof. I prefer minding my own business, although I may bark if another dog gets too close on a walk. I'd rather focus on enjoying my outing than making new canine friends.

My friends describe me as affectionate, chill, confident, playful, food-motivated, independent, and snuggly. I love a good walk, but I may love cuddling even more. I'm not protective of my food, toys, or favorite spots, and I have a gentle nature that makes me easy to live with.

My ideal home is one where people are around often and want a loyal companion to include in their daily lives. If you're looking for a very sweet boy who will happily join you on life's adventures and then curl up beside you at the end of the day, I would love to meet you.
