The dogs at Clackamas Co shelter have a harder time getting adopted since recent budget cuts closed the shelter on Saturdays.
Fill out our adoption application. There is a $10 application fee due at the time of submission. Please apply on our website and we will contact you. If you’re applying from out of state to adopt a dog, please note that it is a requirement that you come meet the dog at our facility. Adoptions are available by appointment only. We will call you as soon as your approved adoption application is next in our queue. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we find homes for pets as quickly and efficiently as possible. Luna here, ready to steal your heart! Luna is an approximately 96lb
Rottweiler with a heart every bit as big as she is. At around 6 years
old, this lovely lady has traded puppy chaos for a calm, affectionate
personality and is happiest when she's soaking up all the love and pets
you have to offer. Seriously.. if you're looking for a shadow who
believes petting should be a full-time job, Luna is your girl! She's
been friendly with everyone she's met and has also done wonderfully with
other dogs here at the shelter. Whether you're looking for a walking
buddy, a couch companion, or just a giant best friend, Luna is ready to
fill that role with her whole heart.
Luna is a total people-lover and thrives on affection.
She'll happily lean in for pets, scratches, and quality time with her
favorite humans whenever she gets the chance!
Luna has been dog friendly here at the shelter! If you have
another dog at home, be sure to discuss their personality with your
adoption counselor and schedule a meet-and-greet to help ensure they'll
be great housemates.
We don't know how Luna will be with cats or other small
animals, so be sure to discuss proper introductions with your adoption
counselor to help everyone get off on the right paw.
Luna would likely do well with respectful children. Because
of her size, any kiddos in the home should understand how to interact
appropriately with a large dog to help everyone stay safe and
comfortable.
