UPDATE 1/18/26 ADOPTED
MCAS needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption, especially the females and purebred dogs! Management is ineffective and continues failing the dogs and the community.
They recently adopted out *together* an intact male/female pair of purebred small dogs!!
By failing their legal obligation to spay/neuter all adoption animals management has created a MUCH LARGER problem for homeless pets. .....WHAT are they thinking??? They could easily have created a simple, effective offsite medical facility years ago that would only focus on the spay/neutering of the animals.
..but...it's not the dogs' fault, and the dogs need good adopters!
"LANAI" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
MCAS hours/ Location
Meet Lanai, a stunning 2-year-old Shepherd with a heart of gold just waiting for the right person to unlock it. While she can be a bit shy and nervous in new environments, she is a true "blossoming flower" who shines when given a little patience and a few tasty treats. Once Lanai feels safe, her cautious exterior melts away to reveal a loyal, affectionate companion who will be your most devoted shadow. She is looking for a gentle soul to show her that the world isn't so scary-could that be you? 🐾🌸🦴
