UPDATE 12/5/25 STUMPTOWN FB post
Our sweet Scarlett, a 10 month old Belgian Malinois mix, is still on the look out for her forever home and we have a little update to share!
She recently had a playdate in a home with dogs and cats. No surprise, she got along with all of the dogs wonderfully. But most importantly, she did good with the cats too! We would call her respectfully avoidant. In fact, when one of the cats was brought up to her, she turned away and went to the opposite side of the room.
Slow introductions to cats are always important but if you’re a cat owner and Scarlett caught your eye before but you were hesitant, please apply for her!
Scarlett is smart and food motivated. She is eager to learn how to be a great dog and would really thrive doing training with you. She is playful and active and has even joined her foster family on several runs - so if you’re an active person and love running or hiking, she may just be your perfect match!
This awesome pup would do great in a home with another playful dog or one with access to other dogs that want to play. She likely would be fine with older kids. (She’s still learning not to jump up, so small kids are not recommended yet.)
