Meet Rio, an incredibly sweet pup with energy to spare! Rio is a true puppy at heart, ready to explore, play, and learn. He's already mastered the basics: he is crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps peacefully through the night. He loves a good game of tug-of-war or fetch, and once he's exercised, he's a wonderful snuggle buddy, happy to chew a bone right in your lap!

He generally gets along great with other dogs, enjoying the company of the dogs in his recent foster home. However, it's very important to note that Rio is not a fit for a home with cats or other small animals. As a young pup with a lot of pep, Rio will need committed, ongoing training and structure to help him channel his high energy and master his leash skills.

He also has a notable caution around new people, showing some "stranger danger" when visitors enter his space. For this reason, his ideal family must be prepared to manage this with a consistent routine and a protocol like using high-value treats to build positive associations with guests.

He would thrive in a predictable home with experienced owners and older, patient children who can respect his boundaries as he adjusts. If you're ready for an active, engaged dog who is committed to a training routine, Rio has an enormous amount of love to give and could be the perfect addition to your life!💗
