UPDATE 4/8/24 ADOPTED
There
is so much potential for Kyra, and she is thriving in an experienced dog foster home, but there is also a strong possibility for failure
in a home that is not dog experienced, patient and pretty tolerant in
the beginning. Hopefully, some of the skills that she is learning are transferred to new home! Regardless, she will need time to adjust to a new home( like all dogs)

Hey there, future adventure partner! I'm Kyra, a young husky mix with striking markings and bright eyes. As a working breed, I thrive on both physical and mental engagement. Whether it's a vigorous hike, a game of fetch, or some interactive puzzle toys, count me in! Being a clever canine, I love a good mental workout. Teach me new tricks, introduce me to obedience training, and watch me shine with enthusiasm and intelligence. I'm not just looking for a home; I'm searching for a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and appreciates the brilliance of a working breed. A dog savvy home would be a great match for me. Kyra has been in foster care and this is what the foster parent has to say about her: Kyra is a very friendly and affectionate Husky mix, crate trained, house-trained, with occasional accidents when she is overly excited. She knows sit, go lie down, is learning Leave it. She loves/needs lots of toys, both chew toys and rubber balls and such. Kyra has been very friendly meeting strangers on walks, a few children and bikes have gone right by her when on leash and she was non-reactive. She has had no handling issues in foster. She is pretty good on a harness/leash walk, she does however have a high prey drive, so she may react to squirrels and cats!. She is learning "find it" and to turn back to the handler when you say her name. She would do best in a home with a male dog who is well socialized as she has some pushy tendencies and quirks when interacting with new dogs. If you're ready to embark on a journey filled with outdoor escapades, mental challenges, and a lifetime of loyalty, I'm Kyra, your spirited and clever companion. Let's meet and discover the exciting adventures we can create together!
