Soft loose skin. Curious and fun dog. Very strong puller on leash - a gentle leader head collar along with a second leash would help enormously, along with exercising him before a leash walk

Hi, my name is Moose! You could describe me as big and brawny with a beautiful smile. Like most Labs, I love food and will gladly take it from your hand or counter, so my new people will need to keep things put away while I am learning the rules at my new home. I'm not even a year old yet, so I'm basically still in puppy mode! I would benefit from crate training, and having frozen food puzzle toys to give me something to do and could help me a lot with chew training. I definitely need an outlet for my energy...let's face it - these long legs need to RUN! I am not suitable for apartment living unless you are a daily runner or have a separate enclosed area for me to run. I pull extremely hard on leash and have pulled some people off their feet, but tiring me out before going on walks and using appropriate equipment such as a head halter will make teaching me to walk nicely much more enjoyable for both of us. The shelter recommends practicing walking nicely in a fenced yard so I can get the hang of it before going out in public.
