10/25 TRANSFERRED to a Rescue Group - thank you!!
MANY GOOD LOCAL DOGS like Cazan linger at the MCAS shelter. Please first try to adopt/Rescue a "Local dog"
We humans kill billions of chickens a year for food....but Cazan didn't know that dogs aren't supposed to do that. Oops, Cazan! Well, at least he didn't get shot and killed for doing it.
ps- if Cazan is adopted out of Multnomah County he doesn't have "Level 4" Restrictions. But, remember, in any County, dogs are severely punished for killing chickens and you would still need to have a secure fence, and be responsible so that he would not kill any more chickens! (only us humans are allowed to do that!)

At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process. Meet Cazan a 2 year old Husky. Cazan will do best in a home with no small animals to include livestock and cats. There are special requirements adopters should be prepared to meet if interested in adopting Cazan.
