"VINNIE" lively fun Husky mix - at OHS

ADOPTED!
May 2018
Vinnie was been transferred back to OHS, from where he was originally adopted. If you can devote the time and exercise to him and keep him safe and secure, then he definitely worth visiting!

I had the pleasure of meeting Vinnie and doing his photos at Mcas. Vinnie is fun, currently quite anxious, lovable, funny, affectionate, very soft and has lots of energy. He actually paid attention to me when I called him to "come" which is impressive for a Husky mix!

AVAILABLE for ADOPTION at Oregon Humane Society!

What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • I came all the way to OHS through the Second Chance Program.
  • I am eager to learn and a Basic Manners class may be just the right thing for us!
  • I have lived with cats in my last home.
  • I have a history of taking myself out on adventures! I will need supervision when outdoors or we can go on adventures together, on leash of course!
  • I am used to living an active lifestyle! I would love to go running or hiking with you!
  • I am very selective with my dog friends.
  • I am not well suited for going to the dog park.

The type of home I’m looking for:

  • I will need to meet any dogs you have before adoption.
  • I will do best in a home that can be dedicated to providing me with daily mental and physical exercise.
  • I may do best with someone who can be with me most of the time.
  • Click here or visit OHS to learn more about the adoption process!

 ADOPTED!
May 2018
Come visit this sweetie at OHS!
I knew Morticia at MCAS and was so impressed with her rock steady demeanor. She'll thrive in a good home where she continues
to get some TLC for her skin. Morticia showed rapid improvement of her skin during her short stay in a Mcas foster home before transfer.
Great dog, worth visiting.

"HANS GRUBER" nice German Shepherd - Westside of town - Bonnie L Hays (Wash Co Shelter)

ADOPTED!
May 2018
Available for adoption at Bonnie L Hays
(aka  Washington County Animal Shelter)  (the shelter is Closed on Sunday and Holidays)

HANS GRUBER  here's my shelter Petfinder.com link
Nice German Shepherd! Hans is always checking out his environment, but doesn't appear to be overly concerned (just a little nervous initially) or vocal when seeing people outside of this space. Once a German Shepherd
bonds, they often become more protective of their people or their domain, and as all dogs do, Hans will benefit from continued positive socialization. Hans plays fetch, but in short sessions, not as a primary means of exercise - he'd be bored with that.
This guy will enjoy spending lots of quality time with you, and really deserves (as all dogs do) getting a daily walk.
Looking for a great indoor home with any children being 6 yrs or older.

approx 3 yrs old, 80 lbs

If this dog is appropriate for a home with children, you must bring children aged 12 and under to the shelter with you for the adoption process. Not all dogs and children are a perfect match, so we want to make sure that the dog you select is a family-friendly dog.
If you have one or more existing dogs in your home, we require a "meet and greet" between your dogs and the adoptive dog at our shelter. Please plan to bring your dog(s) with you before the adoption can be finalized so we can be sure that the dogs and the humans all agree this dog will be the perfect match for your family!

Adoptions are on a first-come first-served basis among approved applicants. We cannot hold pets, so when you are ready to select a pet, please come prepared.

"BUDDY" sociable senior Cattle Dog - Westside of town - closed Sunday

ADOPTED!
May 2018

Available for adoption at Bonnie L Hays
(aka  Washington County Animal Shelter)  (the shelter is Closed on Sunday and Holidays)

"Awesome opportunity to give a sweet senior Australian Cattle Dog (also known as a Blue Heeler) a great place to spend his golden years. Enjoy all of the intelligence and loyalty with only half of the energy" Bonnie L Hays shelter Facebook  post

BUDDY  here's my shelter Petfinder.com link
Buddy is a great dog! Handsome, well mannered, and a sociable guy too.
Cattle dogs tend to bond strongly with their people and it's important to keep them well socialized. Since Buddy is a mature age he won't require all the
exercise of a younger Cattle Dog, but he will still appreciate daily walks.
10 yrs, 11 mths, 56 lbs, children 12 and up... no cats

"LEONARD" American Shelter Dog mix likes to Play Catch

ADOPTED!
May 2018

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Mcas weblink
148428
I am Leonard, a fun loving and energetic mix breed. Dogs like me love to get out and play but are not always sure what to do with our mouths. I can tend to get so excited I jump for the first thing I see, and the game is on! My ideal family will be active, patient and use positive training methods to help me become a more refined pup. I think working with a trainer would be a fun way for us to bond and learn together. I am eager to learn and can't wait to show you how smart I am! If you have kids in the home, they will need to be over the age of 15 years due to some mouthy behaviors. Please come and meet me today!  5 yrs 59 lbs

Leonard is a friendly, cute and an easy medium size. He might enjoy having a toy box in his home, as he was really interested in the shelter toy box.  Leonard enjoys playing catch.

"COLBY" (aka Linus) loves his security blanket

ADOPTED!!!
Apr 2018

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my  Mcas weblink
124532

Colby here! I am an active and playful male Pitbull. I am the worlds biggest cuddlebug but don't do well with other animals. I also like to play and sometimes I just get so excited I will jump up and grab the first thing that looks like a toy - especially when I am over-excited. I would love a family that can keep me mentally and physically stimulated and help curb some of my rude behaviors like jumping up and using my mouth inappropriately. I would need to go home with a harness as I am VERY strong when walking on leash. I am looking for a family who does not take life too seriously that will be patient, positive and lift me to my potential of being a perfect pup! I would need an adult only home and to be the only animal in my home. 3 yrs 65 lbs

Colby is a cutie.  He carries his blanket
and sucks on it like a baby :)

Jester really likes people. And he's smart! When we were trying to get running shots of him, Jester learned - with treats and encouragement - to run from one person to the other after just 2 training attempts. Jester has limited vision, as you can see in his eyes, but
it doesn't faze him at all.
