"PEARL" sweet senior Border Collie/lab

Sweet mature dog, worth the visit!

Pearl
Border Collie + Labrador Retriever Mix
12 years old
Female
63 pounds

Precious as a Pearl. I am rare and exotic like any black pearl you would find in the Tahitian seas. I have been naturally cultured over the years to be the perfect accessory to loneliness. I am a bit of a relic, something to be revered and admired, so children 12+ would be better company for a lady such as myself. I am not much into puppy games, so if I am to be around other dogs, I like them to be mellow and refined. I can live with cats and admire their less-than-exuberant lifestyles. I have seen a lot of pomp and circumstance in my days, and now I just want a bit of that nice and easy life. I enjoy lounging about and really like the quiet time crate training has afforded me. I want a family that will bask in my presence and treat me like the crown jewel of their love. Come see just how precious I can be.
12 years old-63lbs. My adoption fee is $80 and includes neuter, microchip, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Hey everybody! Looking for a sweet, active boy? That's me! My name is Ferris and I am looking for a home that can give me guidance and plenty of exercise. My new family should be prepared to attend reward based obedience classes with me as I am at a crucial learning stage in my life. I am super smart and eager to learn, so this should be fun for both of us. Did I tell you how much I love to play and run? I am also highly food motivated! The shelter is recommending that children in the home be over 6 years of age, due to my exuberance and activity level. Come on down and take a look at me today! I am about 1 year old and weigh 15 pounds.

"IKE" sweet, shy, affectionate Chi boy, likes to dance

ADOPTED!
May 17, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

My name is Ike and I'm looking for a new home. I am a very sweet boy that can be a little shy to start. Once I am comfortable I enjoy giving kisses and going for walks. I am most comfortable sitting in my person's lap, but it is very important that I get walked instead of carried around. This will keep me active and in good health. I am asking for a home with children over the age of 8 years as I can be sensitive to over-handling and can get overwhelmed. Those little guys are just a tad to grabby for me. I am about 3 years old and weigh 8.5 pounds. Please come and meet me today!

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Hi there! My name is Boston and I'm a sensitive guy looking for a quiet home. It has taken me a little while to settle into the shelter setting, as I was so scared when I arrived. It took several days for me to build enough trust to let anybody near me. Now that I have settled in, I have found that people bring treats and boy do I like those! Once I feel comfortable I am a gentle sweetheart and enjoy sitting in my person's lap. I will need some guidance on building my self confidence and treats are the key to my heart. I am asking that children in the home be over the age of 12 years, due to my sensitive nature. Please come out and me today! I am about 5 years old and weigh 10 pounds.

Argyle is a delightful boy! He came into the shelter with painful matting, and has since been groomed and looks and feels so much better! He is a smart boy, a little shy at first, but really loves his friends, and loves treats too. He should be an easy going companion in a new home, where he gets good quality care as he ages, and routine grooming so that he doesn't get matted again. Nice boy!!

here's my Mcas weblink (Adoption Pending May 9)
Hi there! My name is Brewster and I'm looking for a caring family. I am currently in foster care. If you are interested in me, contact my foster mom, Danni, at danni@dannipdx.com to set up a time to meet me :) I am a very sweet boy that hasn't had the best of care. I came to the shelter with my coat completely matted, dirty, and stinky. Thankfully I'm all cleaned up now :) My new family will need to keep me regularly groomed so this does not happen to me again. I am a very affectionate guy that loves to play and is very interactive. Due to the current sensitivities with my skin, I am asking for a home with children over the age of 8 years. I would love to have a home with other dogs in it, but would also be okay being a spoiled only child :) I also really enjoy sitting in my person's lap. It feels so comfortable sitting in loving arms. I hope I am just what you are looking for in a companion. I am about 5 years old and weigh almost 7 pounds. Ask about me today!

Matting is painful! Non- shedding breeds like me need regular spa visits, really we do!!

oh, I feel so much better, thank you MCAS!

here's my Mcas weblink
id # 564117

James is a smart, big-hearted young dog, who aims to please. He's a people-oriented dog and will make you a great companion. He is currently in foster care, where he is doing well with his trainer. If you are interested in him, contact Alix, the Foster Coordinator, at alix.womack@multco.us or 503-988-6247 to set up a time to meet him :) James has great big eyes and ears. He will play with you, then curl up beside you when you're ready for a snooze. He knows his basic commands, is crate trained, house trained, and enjoys playing with his toys. James especially loves sun-baths, bouncing balls, and walks with his friends. He would like a home without other animals or small children. He can be reactive towards strange dogs, so he shouldn't go on off-leash hikes or to dog parks, but he would love to go on daily walks or runs with his person.. This is one smart, loving young dog. Ask about James today!

"TAFFY" sensitive Chihuahua

ADOPTED!!!
May9, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Hello there! My name is Taffy and I'm a sensitive lady looking for a quiet home. It's been overwhelming for me here at the shelter and I am having a hard time adjusting to all of this new stuff. Unfortunately my owner could no longer care for me and I have found myself here waiting for another loving home. The shelter staff has been told that I used to help my owner by alerting him of an on-coming seizure. Isn't that awesome? Anywho, I am looking for a relaxed home where I can relax and enjoy the good life. For that reason the shelter is asking for only families with children 11 years or older ask about me. I find it hard to trust new people, but once I do I am quite the clown and also very sweet and gentle. I hope you find me as endearing as my friends here do. Please come down and meet me today! I am about 6 years old and weigh 12 pounds.

"NOVA" stellar Aussie

ADOPTED!
May 10, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (5/9 pending adoption)

Hi there!! Are you looking for an athletic dog? That's me! My name is Nova and I'm looking for a home that can complete my training and turn me into a superstar. I already have some basic things in store, but I am super focused when it comes to treats and toys and am ready to learn more with my new family. Reward based classes would be great for me to learn. Let's take this ride together! My new family should have breed experience or have the ability to properly exercise me and keep me engaged. A walk around the block just won't do for me. I could make an excellent agility dog if that's what you're looking for. I am asking that children in the home be over the age of 8 years, due to my bounciness. I could easily knock over the little ones. I have just the right amount of sweet and smarts, so please no chickens at my house either. Unfortunately I do have a skin condition and will need someone financially prepared to help with that. At this moment it is unclear if I have food or environmental allergies, so you will need to contact your vet to discuss further treatment. Please don't let this deter you though. I am totally worth every penny and deserve the best! I am about 2 years old and weigh 48 pounds.
