I am Finnley, a fun loving and energetic Lab mix. Dogs like me love to get out and play but are not always sure what to do with our mouths. I can tend to get so excited I jump for the first thing I see, and the game is on! My ideal family will be active, patient and use positive training methods to help me become a more refined pup. I think working with a trainer would be a fun way for us to bond and learn together. I am eager to learn and can't wait to show you how smart I am! The shelter is recommending that any kids in the home be over the age of 5 years due to my jumpy and mouthy behaviors. If you're ready for fun, come and meet me today!

Meet Hamela! This social, adult Golden Hamster is ready for a new home after her finders found her abandoned in a dumpster. Ms. Hamsterson is curious, adorable and enjoys being held - just be sure to chew proof any areas she will have access to! Cage not included in adoption

Grisella Gumdrop, 6 mths
here's my Mcas weblink adopted
205317
Grisela Gumdrop is a fantastic young female rat who's love to go to a new home. She was abandoned at OHS so we do not know any of her prior history. What we discovered while she's been at MCAS is that she is extremely social, enjoys attention and allows all handling. So if you are looking for a new small pet, come meet Grisella! Available 02/25/20, cage not included
Rat Leblanc, 1 yr
here's my Mcas weblink Adopted
205177
"How you doin? Name's Ratt LeBlanc but call me Joey!"
Instead of living in a sweet NYC apartment with his best friend Chandler, Joey was rescued from a dumpster, where he was quite possibly looking for pizza. Ratt LeBlanc is an adolescent rat looking for a patient adopter who will help him overcome his shyness and blossom into a social companion.
Cage not included in adoption

Carla Hamstortelli,
here's my Mcas weblink
205270
Carla is an adult female hamster who's quite set in her ways. She prefers to cruise around in her ball over being handled. Because she is not used to being held, children in Ms. Hamstortelli's home need to be over 12years old. When left to her own devices, Carla will keep herself entertained. We recommend a larger cage set up where you can watch her be cute yet sassy as you make friends with her. Adoption does not include current cage.

"ISABELLE" aka "NELLY" Happy Adoption Update 12 yrs later

Happy Adoption Update "ISABELLE" aka "NELLY"
adopted 2007- 2008  Multnomah County Animal Services

" Just under 12 years ago, I walked in there with my dad and sister (I was 16), to find a new dog. I had just let my favorite dog go to the rainbow bridge shortly before that.

I did not think I would find one that was meant to be. I almost walked out because I didn’t feel anything for any of them. Then my sister said “Hey look at this one! She’s the only quiet one here, all huddled in the corner of her kennel! It looks like she sat in white paint!” (She had white fur on her butt at that point).

We took her out in the play yard to see how she was. She opened the bucket full of all the hair balls and started eating them🤦🏼‍♀️ I knew in that moment that I loved her. Something about her. Her name was Nelly with you guys. She had been there 11 days. You guys told me that if she didn’t go home soon, she could be euthanized. (volunteer note: that would be much less likely to happen today)

That dog had me hooked.

We chose her. And no adjustment period was ever needed. She ran to the car on her leash, and picked a bed in the house that was hers when we got home.

Fast forward to now. She’s 14, her name is Isabelle. She is the happiest dog. Has a great life still. Has been loved dearly and taken on many adventures. I know she won’t be with me much longer. And I cherish every day that I get with her. Through the farts and burps of hers. Through the sick and healthy. She is my best friend in this whole world.

I just felt like you guys deserved an update. To know that she has never spent a day wondering if she was loved. She has done her full duty to keep her family safe, even though she’s a terrible guard dog because there isn’t a mean bone in her body.

Isabelle D. is living her best life. And will continue to do so til the end of her time here with me.

I can’t thank you guys enough for holding onto her just long enough for me to find her. I don’t know what I would have done without her all these years. "

My name is Teddy. I am a shy boy looking for a quiet and patient home. I love hot dogs and take them nicely. Sometimes however I have been known to mistake a finger for one, but I don't bite down once I realize my mistake. If you are willing to give me time to get know you and go slowly, just like most German Shepherds, I will be a loyal pet. If there are kids in my new home, the shelter is recommending they should be at least 5 years old due to fear and handling sensitivity.
Teddy is much better looking in person than in these pics:)
(he is not yet a camera fan)
When Teddy knows you, he loves to have his neck scratched.
Use a soft touch with this sensitive boy, and you'll have a wonderful companion.

Snuggle and Play Manager at Multnomah County Animal Services

I have been accused of being a "clinger" but I prefer "Enthusiastic Sidekick." I'm a true homebody who prefers cuddles and Netflix on the couch over nights out on the town. I'm shy at first but don't take long to shower you with love. I prefer children over the age of 8. Please swipe right on me!

"Alina" might be timid/scared at times (esp in the kennels) but truly loves to get out and run!
