Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

mcas weblink (apr 6 has an adopter)
animal # 591507

My name is Daisy. Just like the flower, I am soft and delicate. I can be a bit nervous meeting new people, but once comfortable I am very loving and enjoy a nice lap to cuddle up on. I am in need of some exercise to help shed a few pounds, but that can easily be done by lots and lots of fun walks around the neighborhood! Think I might be a good match? Come down to the shelter today and take me for some time in a meet and greet area! I am 1.5 years old and weigh 10 pounds.

"SUMMER" little black Beagle mix

ADOPTED!
May 2017

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

animal # 590530
Mcas weblink

Summer here! I'm a sweet little Beagle mix lady looking for a new home. I can be a bit shy at first but once I warm up to you, I act like a puppy! I'm all play, all the time! I can get a little mouthy so my new family should work patiently with me to help decrease this behavior. Because I can be fearful especially with extended handling, I might not do well with very little children - I would like to meet all young family members before going home. Think we could spend our days together being goofy and laughing? Come meet me today! I'm about 4 years old and weigh 19 lbs.

Mcas weblink
animal # 586521

Hi there! My name is Bobbie Jo and I'm looking for a special home. I am a very sweet and gentle girl that loves socializing. I am also a sensitive girl at times and would like a quiet, calm home to relax in. I can get scared easily of loud voices and vacuums. I'm really a big chicken. I am housetrained and know how to sit, shake, down, stay, and come. I have been to professional training classes and am a very smart lady. I will need to be the only animal in your home and kids need to be over the age of 8 years as I can get nervous around toddlers. If you want to meet the girl of your dreams, come and meet me today! I do have some special requirements for my new home and would like to set my new family up for success. So once you decided I may be the right fit for your household our Canine Care Specialist would like to meet with you to and answer any questions you may have. I am about 6 years old and weigh 80 pounds

Here's my Massage video!

Mcas weblink (5/4 possible adopter - check back)

My name is Cole. I am a handsome little guy who really enjoys the comfort of my friends. Sometimes I can be a bit nervous around new people. It is important that my new family be patient and positive, and introduce me to new people and places in a controlled and comfortable way. Once I get to know you, I will give you lots of tail wags and cuddles! The shelter recommends that I go to a home with kids 8 years old and over. I am in a more quiet area of the shelter, so please ask the staff or volunteers if you want to see me. I am 2 years old and weigh 15 pounds.

Hi there, they call me Honey because I'm so sweet! I'm a Pitbull mix lady looking for my new home. I can be timid at first but once I warm up, all I want is to be close to you. I want to be nearby so much that I can get barky so I might not do well in an apartment. I need to be the only dog in my home as well. If that sounds like your home, come say hi and let's spend our days playing games, taking walks, and cozying up together at the end of a day together! I'm about 3 years old and weigh 66 lbs.

"LELU" a polite companion pitbull

ADOPTED!
May 2017

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Porter here's my Mcas weblink  (adoption pending 5/2)
animal id # 585629

Lelu here! I'm a sweet pitbull lady looking for my new home. I can be fearful in new places but once I warm up, I'm a really sweetheart. I love to be around my favorite people getting as much attention as I can soak up! I don't always get along with other dogs so I would do best as the only dog in my new home. I already know 'sit' and 'shake' and I bet with some positive, reward-based training we could learn lots more.  I would also do best in a home with kids 12 years and older. If you think we're a good match come say hi! I'm about 5 years old and weigh 65 lbs.

"CODY" happy Golden Retriever

ADOPTED!
Apr 2017

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 572060

Hi there I'm Cody! I'm the sweetest Golden Retriever fella you'll ever meet! My favorite thing to do is either to be close to you getting endless love and adoration or playing ball. I really really love playing ball. You have to have a second ball to get me to drop the first one actually. Did I mention how smart I am? I already know "sit" "shake" and "down" and I love to roll over and let you scratch my belly. You probably noticed that I have some skin issues - this is likely allergies and because of this a healthy diet and consistent flea control will be very important for me. I've lived with another small dog before and done well so if you have a canine friend I'd love to meet them! I am truly a sweet boy and would love nothing more than to go home and spend my days with you. I'm about 6.5 years old and weigh 82 lbs.

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

animal id # 584333

Hi there! My name is Gloriana and I'm looking for a new family to love. I have been very shy here, but once I'm out of my kennel, boy do I light up! I am everything you could ask a Bulldog to be. Wiggly, bouncy, playful, sloppy kisser! I am looking for a home that can give me proper exercise and a loving heart. I'm not a fan of sharing my food though, so kids in the home are recommended to be over the age of 10 years. I should be an only pet. If you think we could make a fantastic team, come and meet me today! I am about 3 years old and weigh 60 pounds.

Meet Max, the handsome elder statesman looking for a place to live out his golden years. He is a large Mastiff mix gentleman who's sprinting days are far behind but would still love a stroll around the block/park then hang out on the couch for the rest of the day. Max has been at the shelter since 01/26/17 He weighs 91lbs, is between 7-8 years old, knows sit, shake, stay & down commands. He gets super silly with stuffy, squeaky toys and has also shown interest in playing with larger dogs but would prefer to be the only pet in an adult only home or a home with children over the age of 15. If he sounds like the dog for you, please come to the shelter and meet Max today!!!

My name is Bumble. I am 1 year old and I weigh 100 pounds. I am a big, playful guy who still may have something to learn about being a resident family dog, as I was found as a stray and not much is known about my in-home history. I have enjoyed meeting new people around the shelter. I would love a home that will give me a good amount of space to move around and also time for play/exercise time! I can be very strong on leash so my new family should work with me on harness training. Come on down and see me at the shelter today!

"ROOGER" big soft sensitive Hound/lab mix

ADOPTED!!!
Apr 2017

Happy Adoption: Ruger

"We adopted Ruger almost a month ago and just wanted to say thanks again! He is the best thing that could have happened to us and we think he feels the same way."

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

 here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 583926

Hi there my name is Rooger, thank you for taking the time to seek me out. I am a shy guy in a big body, it takes me some time to warm up to new people and new environments. However, once I start to feel comfortable I am a pretty relaxed care free guy. I enjoy playing with the tennis ball, getting belly rubs, and giving kisses. Of course, not on the first date though! Some things that you should know about me, I will probably need several visit with you until I am comfortable going home with you. I would prefer not to have to compete for your attention so if I could be the only pet, that would be greatly appreciated. Loud noises and unpredictable behavior startles me so best to be in a household with children 15 and up. Due to my special needs I would prefer that you have had experience with dogs already; this way you can help me grow and become comfortable in new situations. If you would like to see me I am located in a different part of the building so please contact our client services at the desk at the front entrance. I have already given them the memo that you will be asking about me so they are expecting you. I am about 2 years old and weigh 70 pounds

here's Rooger, hiding Mcas volunteer Stephanie, when we first started taking pics.
We took it easy, and allowed him  plenty of time and space ( and treats) and Rooger gradually relaxed - which was quite a step for such an insecure guy. He is really a sweetie, who probably lost out on needed socialization when he was a pup, and now needs a special patient home to succeed. Going back into the shelter where he could hear the dogs barking was scary for him.
Hope he gets his new home soon where he can live a long happy life.
