"LIL' LADY" the best little Portland Mutt

ADOPTED!
Mar 31, 2016
Available at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 527274

Hello, my name is Lil' Lady! I am sad to report that this isn't my first time being without a family. You will be my fourth home actually. Here are some things the shelter has learned about me! When I am left outside unattended I dig and escape, I have also been dashing out doors. I have lived with children but would prefer an adult family. I have lived with dogs that I have adored. I have lived with cats that I have chased. I am shy with strangers but food breaks the ice. I am calm, ride well in cars and could use some further training to brush up on house training and obedience skills. Do you have room in your life for a girl like me? I am around 5 and a half years old and weigh 22 pounds

"BRADY" a surprise sweetheart - not looking for the spotlight, just a friend

ADOPTED!
Mar 27, 2016

Available for adoption with Oregon Humane Society!

here's my OHS weblink
animal # 186531

Hello, I’m Brady and I think you look like a wonderful choice for my forever friend! I don’t give my heart away at the drop of a hat, but if you will give me some time and space to settle in and adjust to my new life, I’ll show you that I have quite a bit energy inside this shy-guy shell! Once I’m comfortable, I love to go on walks, play, and spend time curled up with my best friends. If you like to relax on the couch with a good book or a favorite movie, I’ll be right there with you. I may always be on the shy side with new people and hope you will love me anyway. I have this feeling that we’re kindred spirits, so how about we spend some quality time together to be sure?

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 574246

Hello, my name is Lucky and I am really hoping to find that perfect special family! My shelter friends have found out that I become severely panicked when I am isolated. My new family should either work from home, are retired, possibly have another dog at home, and have the ability to use positive training methods to teach me to feel safe when I'm alone. I'm healthy, could use a refresher on some basic manners, and could be a really cool friend for the right person. Ask about me! I am around 1 1/2 years old and weigh 51 pounds

I am out for possible adopters to see early and am hoping to catch your eye now. I am available after 03/24/16 and was found on SE 153rd and Lincoln

ADOPTED!
Mar 24, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 576196

My name is Meadow. I am an adorable 1.5 year old Terrier mix who is looking for some help in showing me how awesome life is to enjoy! I can be very shy at first, but I recover quickly and become a fun, playful little girl. I have not had the best start in life, so my new owners should be ready to teach me all the basics about being in a home and being part of a family. As my skin was not in the best condition when I arrived her, regular flea medication is going to be very important for me! I hope to see you soon-you won't regret coming to meet me.

Mar 24, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 576113

My name is Orion. I am a big boy who's looking to squeeze his way onto your lap and into your heart. That's right-for some reason I think my size is quite appropriate for laying right on your lap. I am very athletic, and strong, so my new owners will need to provide me with lots of exercise to stay in this incredible shape I am in right now. I know sit and shake, but it may be beneficial for me to continue learning with reward based classes in my new home. The shelter is requiring I go to a home with kids over 12, due to my mouthy and physical play. I am 3 years old and weigh 76 pounds.

Hey everybody! My name is Beckam and I'm ready to find a new home! I am a very sweet guy that loves to go for walks and play with toys. Please make sure you provide me with lots of toys and chewies to keep me happy! The shelter is recommending that we take reward based classes together to help us get off on the right paw. I already know how to sit and shake and I'm very motivated by toys and treats, so training should be fun and easy! I am looking for a home with no cats or small animals. They are just a little too interesting for me. I am also a little unsure about other dogs, so it will be necessary for us to meet if you have another canine friend. I am a great boy and I can't wait to meet my new family. Please come and meet me today! I am about 1.5 years old and weigh 66 pounds.

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!
I'm in a MCAS Foster home

animal # 575378

Hi there! My name is Buttercup. I am a 1 year old chihuahua mix and I am full of energy. I absolutely love my foster mom's other dogs. If my new home has dogs, please make sure that they are ok with the fact that I want to play with them ALL the time. I am great on a leash and love going for walks. I found the cats in my home to be a little scary at first but then I found out that I could play with them too! I am mostly housetrained and will need my new family to help me get the rest of the way there. And finally I love laps. When its time to take a break from all the playing, I just want a warm cozy place to snuggle in with you. If you are interested in meeting met, email alix.womack@multco.us.

ADOPTED!
Mar 22, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 574325

Hey there, I'm a cute little Peanut looking for a great home and an even greater lap to snuggle on each night. I'm about 8 years old and 16 lbs. I am very interactive and fun little guy. I love toys. Play with me? I know sit, stay, down, and come. Trust me when I tell you that is impressive! I seek a home that can continue to feed me special food forever. I had some bladder stones removed recently, and it's possible they can come back, so I am also looking for someone who will take care of me medically in the future. I'm a Lhasa mix, so I should be groomed every 4 to 6 weeks to keep me looking my most handsome. Kids in the home need to be over the age of 10 years as I'm not really a fan. No offense kiddos! If you think we are a perfect match, come check me out! You really need to meet me outside my kennel so I can work my Lhasa magic on you.

Mar 18, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 576027

Hi there! My name is Spud and I'm looking for an active home that can give me the daily exercise that I need. I am a real sweetheart that has a lot of love to give once I feel comfortable. I can be shy and anxious in new situations, so my family will need to be patient with me settling in to a new home. The shelter is recommending that we take reward based classes together to help us bond and for me to gain some good skills and confidence. Children in the home must be over the age of 12 years due to my uncertainty with them and history of being a little nippy with them. I hope this isn't a deal breaker. There is a wonderful and comical boy here that just needs to feel safe. Please come and visit me today! I am about 3 years old and weigh 18 pounds.

I was a little nervous yesterday for my pics  but still

ADOPTED!
Mar 2016

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal # 575561

Hi there, the shelter calls me Brick because well let's face it at 70lbs. I'm a sturdy guy. The shelter isn't sure if I might need to be an only dog but that's okay because then I will get all the attention.. At 1 year old I am looking for a fun and active home where I can do things with my people. I am like a teenager who needs guidance to learn how to behave in polite society. Because I jump up and quickly become excited shelter recommends sturdy kids 12 & up if there are kids in my new home. Come meet me, I'm the handsome one

"MISO" thanks! the animal shelter turned my life around!

ADOPTED!
Mar 19, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!
Miso is now in a MCAS Foster home

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 574841

Hello. My name is Miso, probably because “Me so happy”. That’s a joke, but I do want to say, I am a happy, little guy weighing about 17 lbs. I had a rough start at the shelter and they had to shave me because I was so matted and had 2 infections going on. Now though, I am living the high life in foster and getting cleaned up. I may have some allergies. Please don’t let that deter you; with a healthy diet of good hypoallergenic food, I’ll be just fine. I like hanging out with my foster Moms, my big dog sister and even the cat. I love to play with “ropeys” – they are a fantastic chew toy. I am potty trained and love going in to my crate during the day while my Mom’s are at work – just give me a nice, soft bed to lay in and I’m a happy camper. All, in all, I’d say I am a pretty low-key little guy who just enjoys hanging out. I do get nervous when you reach for my head, so little ones wouldn’t be the best roommates for me. And, I have a funny aversion to stairs. I can go up them easily but do not like going down them, so a house without stairs would be ideal. If you show me a little patience, love, consistent grooming and good food I’ll be your best friend with a happy smile to greet you every day. Please contact Alix, the Foster coordinator for more information about my wonderful personality.
Let me know if you get any nibbles and send them my way… I prefer emails because I can write quicker, but if they want to text me or chat via the phone, you can have them reach out directly to me. To meet me, email the coordinator at alix.womack@multco.us.

and now - here's me in my foster home, much happier :)

here's me in the shelter - a bit scared and nervous in the shelter, but looking and feeling much better than when I first came into the MCAS shelter.

My name is Polka Dot and I'm anxiously waiting for a new home. I'm 9 years old and at 20lbs, could stand to lose a little weight to regain my girlish figure. I appear to have been pretty well cared for in my previous home but oh dear, now I need a new one. Could you be the right person for me?

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 575911

Wahoo! I'm Brisbane a 2 year old beautiful brown and black male Australian Shepherd mix. I'm 52 lbs. of high octane. Aussies are smart and I'm no exception. I'm the total package. I've been anxious here at the shelter so I'll need an owner who will provide me with regular exercise and work with me so I can adjust. The shelter recommends kids 8 & up because I jump and can get a little mouthy so younger kids might get scared. I've started crate training here at the shelter. I like playing the "go kennel" game because I get treats and I'm very food motivated

Otherwise just ask to see me, I guarantee you will fall in love! I will be neutered and microchipped before I go home.

"KAI" sweet Pitmix

"TRANSFERRED" to SWWHS!
hope Kai finds a great home, he's such a good boy!
Mar 15, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 575435

Hello, my name is Kai! I am a handsome dude who is looking for a patient owner who understands that some dogs need more time to build a relationship with humans than others. The shelter staff have seen that I was able to hang out with another dog, and I am learning some obedience skills. They have also noticed that when I get stressed out in social situations I get over aroused. A perfect home will be a dog savvy owner without any young children who can teach me better ways to deal with my anxiety. Are you up for the challenge? Please email animal.care@multco.us to arrange a meeting with me. I am around 5 years old and weigh 60 pounds
