"MERCEDES" sleek and shiny beauty

ADOPTED!
Feb 28, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
id # 566112

Hey there, the shelter named me Mercedes because I am a sleek and shiny beauty just like the german sports car. I'm about 1 years old and weigh 13.4lbs. Because I am the typical long backed dachshund it is important to keep me slim and trim just like I am now. However I am willing to do just about anything for a little piece of hotdog. The people who found me said I was good with their dogs and kids. Cats are an unknown. I do still need some help with potty training, ask the shelter staff for tips.

Hello, my name is Ghost! I am a handsome steady going guy who is ready for a new family. I am social with people, friendly with other dogs, ride well in the car, walk nicely on leash, and am just an all around easy companion. My adopter should be prepared for regular grooming, have no small animals and if there are children in my home we ask that they be over the age of 12. We ask this because I have a long coat, I enjoy chasing cats, and can be easily startled by noises. Please come down and meet me. I am around 4 1/2 years old and weigh 98 pounds

Madrid is a happy and friendly guy and he loves to eat his veggies. If you don't know much about Guniea pigs there's tons of info on the web that can get you G-pig savvy in no time. id # 566013

Hi my name is Wookie so pleased to meet you. I am an active young man around 1 years old weighing in at 47 lbs. As a Chow mix you will be happy to know we are known for our tidy house manners. I'm sure the shelter staff will advice you to verify those skills but what a plus.
Speaking of which the shelter does not know much about me but they definitely want me to succeed in my new home. To help this along they are offering a half price adoption if you provide proof of reward based classes or trainer consult when you are ready to pick me up. We will have so much time getting to know each other as we work together.
The shelter noticed I seem agreeable to meeting new dogs so a well matched dog companion with a slow introduction could work for me

animal id # 565047

Hi my name is Kinzie, so nice to meet you. I am currently in foster care. If you are interested in me, contact my foster mom at roxannenygard@gmail.com to find out more about me! I am one of those young ladies at 1 year old that did not get quite enough experience in the world. I came to the shelter worried about all the new things I saw. I am happy to report I am starting to get that there are a lot of nice people out in the world. Won't you help me learn even more? I need a patient and loving family that will keep me learning life's lessons in a safe way. Reward based classes, friendly strangers and friendly dogs are some of what I need besides you! The shelter has noted some reactions to young children so are asking for only families with children 13 years or older to ask about me. I weigh in at 52 lbs. The shelter vet staff want you to know that I had orthopedic surgery on 01/27/15. It was succesful but I will need some ongoing, easy PT to help in the healing process. Ask about me today!

"BATOVIAN" I'm the sweet quiet serious guy, but I can be silly too! Mastiff mix

ADOPTED!
Feb 24, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
id # 523317

Hello, my name is Batovian. I am a goofy and sensitive young man that is looking for a fresh start. My new family should have no children under 10, be patient, gentle, active, and interested in using positive training methods to show me what it means to be someone's inside family companion. If you are a first time dog owner then my shelter friends recommend that you take a look at the other dogs here. Despite living as an outside dog and getting into some trouble in my younger years, I know that I have the potential to be someone's loving, loyal and well adjusted new friend. Please come down and meet me. I am around 2 1/2 years old and weigh 68 pounds

"SHIRLEY" delicate little Chi

ADOPTED!
Feb 21, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
id # 566008

Hi there my name is Shirley. It's a play on words as in surely I didn't think I'd end up needing a new home? Surely I'm one cute little Chihuahua and with my jeweled collar surely my real name should be Princess. Haha! I'm a petite little girl about 6.4lbs and years old. I'm a little dog in a sea of big dogs so I'm scared but the shelter person thinks I'll relax in a home and be a great little lap dog. Because I'm so delicate and startle at unexpected noises, the shelter is recommending kids 10 & up because noisy little ones would just be too much for me. I am around 2 years old

I may not be shaking my hips like I could in my younger days, but you better believe that no peanut butter and banana sandwich will be safe around me! I am a mature guy who likes hanging out with people, going for walks, and having my rump scratched. I'm looking for a home with a single person, couple, or family with respectful kids. I'm about 6 years of age and weigh a healthy 74 pounds. Ask about me today!

"RUSTY" awesome Cattle/ boxer or bully type mix with distinctive Underbite

ADOPTED!!!
Feb 23, 2015

Available for Adoption with Oregon Humane Society!
Rusty- here's my OHS weblink
my animal id # is  167371

Did you stop in your tracks as you saw Rusty? He is a handsome fella isn’t he? He is more than just good looks however; he is full of life and ready to take on the world. Rusty can be overexcited when it comes to meeting new people or when he is in new places so he will need someone who is willing to work on basic manners and continuing socialization. Sometimes excitement just gets the better of him and his zest for life cannot be contained. He will do best in a home with Heeler experience. We recommend an adult only home, or one with older respectful children. Rusty will need a cat free home and may be best as the only dog. Rusty can be worried about meeting new people and children. If you lead an active life and can keep this man busy then maybe he could be the companion for you. A training consult is included prior to adoption.

ps- some people really hate this pic of me...... but it WAS funny!

Elko  - here's my OHS weblink
my animal id # is  168654

Are you an active person who likes to be on the go? My name is Elko and I am a young boy with lots of energy! I like to run and play, one of my favorite things to do is play ball! If you are looking for a running partner I am a great choice, I go running multiple times each week with the OHS Running Team! I can sometimes be too enthusiastic when playing and will benefit from a home with dog savvy children. The ideal place for me would have a fully fenced yard and will continue working with me on basic training. I will also need a cat-free home to spend forever in, but I don’t mind because I have more than enough love to give my people. My friends here at OHS have told me that I am a bit of a goofball. I’m just so happy when I get to spend time with people. If you are looking for a big active boy who is ready to go on lots of adventures, I would love to meet you. A training consultation is included prior to my adoption.
