"COW" ( Cal) an easy going lovable pitbull

Hi my name is Cow so pleased to meet you. Me and my family found ourselves homeless so I am here starting over. Let me tell you a little about myself.
I am a sensitive boy that has not had a lot of life experience so I am looking for a patient family willing to go the extra mile for me.

I lived with dogs, cats and children so I like to think I am a likeable and easy boy but a slow introduction to new animals would bring the best results.

I would love to put my trust in you so please ask about me today. I am 5 years old and I weigh 64lbs.

"MONA LISA" a special little lady Chi mix

ADOPTED!

Here's my MCAS weblink

My name is Mona Lisa and I am sweet as can be! I am a bit overwhelmed here at the shelter, so please don't take my shyness off hand. Once I trust someone I am a big cuddler, I will bury my head into your chest and settle in!

A home with children over the age of 8 would be best. Please ask to meet me today, I am about 9mths old and I weigh 6lbs.

"MICAH" an awesome little guy!

TRANSFERRED to FDNLS!

Here's Micah's MCAS weblink

I'm a charming little guy that needs a moment of baby talk before I'll wiggle into your lap. I bond very strongly with my friends and am full of wiggles and fun with a touch of terrier fiest to keep me interesting. I don't like strangers grabbing at me so I ask that my family keep me safe and help me gain confidence through gentle training methods. I'm best suited to a family with children 12+. I'd love an active home that enjoys walks, play time and of course lots of snuggles. I do have a coat that will require continued maintenance to keep me looking and feeling good. I'm worth the extra effort!

"ROCHELLE" very cool Rat Terrier/JRT mix!

ADOPTED!!!

Here's Rochelle's MCAS weblink!

Rochelle is a smart and active lady looking for a home with children over the age of 12. She is very cautious of new people and may take some time to settle in to her new home. Although she is a small dog, do not let her size fool you!

She has a lot of personality and will not be a "lap dog"! Please ask to meet her today, she is about 2 years old and weights 15lbs.

"WALL- E" a SharPei mix puppy

ADOPTED!

Just so you know.....this cute puppy WALL- E already has a "pending adoption" but couldn't resist doing his photos with his shelter fan Diana today :)
Wall-E wants you to know that there are also very fabulous teenagers and adult dogs at the MCAS that have all this puppy cuteness inside!!

Puppies are an absolute joy because of their cute baby faces, sleepy grumbles, and pudgy paws. But puppies grow up FAST into toddlers with scissors and almost boundless energy. I am going to be a LARGE adult dog and early reward based training and lots of socialization from now and until at least 2 years of age will help me grow into a well behaved and well rounded adult dog.

I am about 3 months now and weigh a rapidly growing 16lbs. Ask about adopting or FOSTERING me today! I had my neuter surgery on 6/1/14

"WESLEY" - lots of terrier cuteness and terrier drive

possible Adoption Pending (6/4)

Here's my MCAS weblink

Hi there folks! I know what you are thinking, "how can such an adorable little fellow be looking for a home for the 4th time?", well, the answer is easy...I'm a terrier... If you don't know about terriers, here's the deal, we are cantankerous little creatures, we're active and loud, and on occasion, we get a little naughty. Now, we aren't horrible, many terriers (myself included) are highly trainable with the right POSITIVE methods, we're cuddly, and very smart. I'm absolutely adorable, and I do have a very sensitive, sometimes fearful side. It seems as though my fearful side has been mistaken for bad behavior, dogs like me are often misunderstood by our humans. Yes, we aren't for everybody, people who love us terriers love us with all their hearts, people that don't love us, generally end up living next door to those who do.

thanks Nancy (foster mom) for great pics and everything you're doing for Wesley!

I'm currently in a foster home looking for my last, forever home. My foster mom reports that I love other dogs, but I have an incredibly rude playstyle that needs to either be matched with a comparably ridiculous (or very forgiving) dog, or maybe I should be an only pet with humans committed to playing with me and exercising me daily. I should not go to dog parks or be allowed off leash as I can get myself in quite a bit of mischief. I should never live with a cat, ever (pet squirrels, rats, or raccoons are also out of the question). I need a home with a very secure fence, and never be left outside when you aren't there to help me mind my manners, and mouth. If I live with kids, they should be respectful, older children, like somewhere in their 30's.
Positive, reward based classes will be required as stipulation of my adoption to help us get off on the right paw and learn to work as a team. I'm already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines. I'm even sporting a fancy-schmancy new haircut! I'm dashing.
OK, so you think you have what it takes to make a small but mighty guy feel happy and safe for the rest of his life? Contact the foster coordinator Donna at503-545-3021 or
donna.b.scott@multco.us to meet me! I am a little over a 1 years old and I weigh 16lbs..

"BUDDY" - Jack Russell - you'll envy his delightful soft curly hair!

ADOPTED!

Hi there! I know that Jack Russells are known for being feisty and outgoing and I will live up to that most of the time. But other  times I can be shy and sensitive and in need of your patience. I am looking for a home with adult humans only and maybe a well matched canine companion.

I am not suited for a home with cats or young kids. The shelter recommends that we take some private lessons with a dog training professional who will use reward based methods. I am around 4 years of age and I weigh a healthy 16 lbs.

"MAMA" cute and lovable

ADOPTED!!!!!

Mama is a sweet and lovely dog. She got into some trouble when she escaped her last home, and now there will be some special requirements for confinement if her adopter lives in Multnomah County.

When she is outside of her yard she will need to be on leash at all times and wearing a head harness or muzzle. Your adoption counselor can tell you more about this. No small dogs in the home as well. She is playful, attentive, and full of energy! Please ask to meet her today. She is about 8 years old and weights 55lbs. Here's Mama's MCAS weblink

"ROXY" adorable Pitbull

ADOPTED!

Hi my name is Roxy so nice to meet you. Notice my winning smile and enthusiastic personality? I bring it all to the table and am ready to find my new family today. The shelter recognizes my energy and enthusiasm and are asking we take reward based classes together. This will help channel my energy into positive behavior and we will bond that much faster!

Crate savvy families are encouraged to ask about me today. I am around 4 years old and weigh 49 lbs. Here's my MCAS weblink

"ROGER" cute little tyke

ADOPTED!

here's Roger's MCAS weblink

I am a totally handsome fellow looking for a gentle home. I am a cheerful fellow but the shelter is a little overwhelming and I don't think loud noises in general are any fun. I am looking for a home who is active and wants to get out and do stuff with me, but a busy household may be too much. I am young and love to interact and be social once I get to know someone.

Reward based training classes would be fun for us both! I am just the right size for lap time, sturdy enough for jaunty walks in the park, and I have a moderately high maintainence coat that will require regular brushing and grooming to stay looking good. I am about 2 years of age and I weigh a healthy 7lbs.

" MAIZY" sweet mature herding dog mix

TRANSFERRED to OHS!

Are you looking for a mature companion to spend your lazy summer days with? I would like to be considered as your first choice! I am past all the puppy stuff but still will enjoy walks and playtime.

The shelter doesn't know my true background, but they have reason to believe I may have lived mostly as an outdoor dog. This just means I may need your patience and understanding as I adjust to my new home, and I would really prefer to be included as an indoor family member. I am best suited for a home with adults only or kids over the age of 6 years. I am around 8 or 9 years of age and I weigh a healthy 45lbs. Please ask about me today!

"POSH"very adorable teenager, needs structure, training, commitment

ADOPTED!

Here's my MCAS weblink!

Hello, my name is Posh! I am a young dog who is searching for a new family! Are you looking for an active, entertaining, and smart companion?

Come down and meet me! I still have some things to learn but can't wait for you to teach me. I am around 10 months of age and I weigh 45 lbs

"BABY GIRL" fabulous little Pitbull

ADOPTED!!!

Are you looking for a super smart and athletic young dog? Then look no further than me!! I am just over a year of age and I already have a whole bag of tricks, including sit, shake, down, and roll over! I have not had a structured life up to this point and I could really use a place to settle into a routine.

I am NOT good with cats or young kids and need a home feline free home with kids 12 years or older. I am selective about my canine friends so a meet and greet with your friendly dog will be necessary. The shelter will require that we take reward based classes together as part of my adoption. I am a nicely sized girl at just 50lbs. Ask about me today!
