"MAURY" nice little Shih Tzu

ADOPTED!

This handsome little guy is named Maury. At first, he did not want much to do with us. But after a few days of hand feeding him, well he thinks we are pretty swell!

He is some what reserved, but also enjoys his cuddle time. Please ask to meet him today. He is about 2 years and weights 19lbs.
Here's his MCAS weblink!

"BRADY" happy Lhasa!

Here's Brady's MCAS weblink

Hello!! I am a little lhasa boy who was found running with my brother.  We had obviously missed more than a few haircut appointments and we will need regular grooming to stay looking and feeling our best. We are looking for a home, together or separately, with a single person, couple, or family with kids over the age of 8 years.

We have also not learned to be housetrained, so a brush up on not that will be necessary. Talk to your counselor about Belly Bands and crate training. Lhasa Apsos are known for being loyal and protective of home and their person, so apartment dwellers may need to do some extra training and sound proofing so barking doesn't upset your neighbors. I am about 1 year of age and I weigh 15lbs.

"CINNAMON" a sweet gentle love - will shine with TLC!

ADOPTED!!!

Cinnamon is a sweet little gal looking for a fresh start! She came to the shelter in rough shape and has shown improvement after starting some medication for her skin condition.

She will be on meds for a few weeks and need medicated baths. We do not know if this is a food allergy, but she has also been on a special diet. Please ask to meet her today, she is about 5 years old and she weighs 52lbs.  Here's her MCAS weblink!

"BUDDY" a round sweet potato mix

Hi there my name is Buddy and I need a buddy to get me moving. I have great energy and could use the extra walks to get me into shape. I do know a few commands like sit and down but I have a hard time containing my excitement and sometimes jump up in your face.

I am a neutered male around 6 years old and I am a frisky boy and a little frantic. We ask that children in household who are interested be at least 12 years of age. If you can handle a kid like me, stop by the shelter and visit me. I weigh a husky 85 lbs. Here's my MCAS weblink!

'DAPHNE" sweet Rat Terrier

"ADOPTED!

Hi. Hello! Hey! I'm Daphne, and I'm just about the sweetest little rat terrier you'll ever meet. I have been hanging out in foster care, so the shelter now knows lots more about me. For starters, I am house trained and crate trained like a champ. I can hold it great if you're the working type. I get along great with other dogs. I'm a quiet little lady who loves to snuggle on the couch, loves to have my chin scritched, loves to chase tennis balls, and loves to nap in slivers of sunshine that come through the window. I definitely prefer women to men, sorry guys! I would do best in a woman-only home where any children are over the age of 12. I like to follow you around the house, especially if you go to the kitchen where you're surely looking for my next treat. I'm smart. I'm docile. Loud noises and quick movements can startle me at first, but I'm a resilient little gal, and I bounce back fast! I need a family who will go at my pace, encourage me, and make me part of the family. What do you say? Shall we head home and commence immediate snuggling? I am about 2 1/2 yrs old and I weigh 13 lbs. I'm currently hanging out in a foster home waiting for my new people. If you'd like to meet me, please contact the foster coordinator Donna at 503-545-3021 or donna.b.scott@multco.us.

"POSIE" sweet shy little gal

ADOPTED!

Posie is a sweet and very shy little gal looking for a quiet home with children over the age of 12. She came into the shelter with Parker, who we believe may be her son. However, it would be best for her to find her home away from him.

She will allow you to pick her up and hold her tight, but she might take some time to warm up to new people. This little gal lacks confidence, but she makes up for it in sweetness! Please ask to meet her today, she is about 5 years old and weights 5lbs. Here's Posie MCAS weblink!

"DIEGO" nice young Pitbull

ADOPTED!

Hello, my name is Diego! I arrived at the shelter because my family moved and couldn't bring me with. They report that I am crate trained, lived with and adored another dog, and am a social boy.

I have to admit that the shelter environment was a little overwhelming at first and am looking for a patient, gentle family who can help me adjust into a new home. Please come down to the shelter and meet me! I am around 2 years old and weigh 72 pounds. Here's my MCAS weblink

"HARLEY" handsome Ridgeback mix

If you are looking for a mature dog to kick back and enjoy life with, then you should ask about me.
I am smart, loyal, and I have some good basic obedience skills. I am looking for a home with adult humans only and no cats. I can be protective of my home with new visitors, but I am generally a social fellow.

A home with an adult female dog who is my size or larger may be a good match. Please talk to your adoption counselor about some of my background info. I am about 7 years of age and I weight 77 lbs. Triple 7 is good luck, right?

"GWENDOLYN" chubby lovable Min PIN

Are you looking for a little bit of love to add to your home? Well I have MORE than enough to offer and then some!

I have been a calm and well behaved resident here at the shelter but I am a miniature pinscher and our breed is known for their feisty nature at times. I am looking for a home with kids over the age of 8 years and likely a feline free home is best. I have gotten along with other same sized canine roommates. I am about 7 years of age and I weigh 23lbs. Ask about me today! Here's my MCAS weblink

"BUDDY JORDAN" happy update! little American Shelter Dog!

Aug 10 - It looks like our buddy Jordan was adopted this weekend at Family Dogs New Life Shelter!

Many of the best dogs seem take the longest to get adopted.

TRANSFERRED to Family Dogs New Life Shelter!

Hello my name is Buddy and I am happy to tell you a little about myself. First why I am here. I have to be honest I don't like the younger humans. They are loud, move too fast & in general hard to predict. That got me in this situation so I am putting a brave face on and looking forward.

I lived with a cat and a dog, I adored my dog companion and could take or leave the cat. My favorite things to do are walks and lap time and my favorite toy is a squeaky toy.
So all you mature families please ask about me today.
I am around 3 1/2 years old and weigh about 15 lbs. Here's my
MCAS weblink
