Hi the shelter named me Sunny for my nature and coloring. I am what you would expect from a mature Labrador. Engaging, active and endearing. A very nice family found took care of me for a few days. The great thing about that is you get to know a few things about me. Like I got along with their dog and the children in the household. They even said I had good house manners.

My shelter name is Avery and I'm one dynamic little dynamite of a dog!  When I came to the shelter I was a matted mess.  It leaves the shelter staff and volunteers shaking their heads as to why such a nice, well trained dog was so poorly cared for.  I've had my makeover in my foster home and as you can see I look great!  My foster family reports I know tons of tricks (sit, wave, roll over, spin and likely more), love car rides, going for walks and using my smart brain to learn more.  I'm already house and crate trained and socialized with other dogs!  Couch potatoes need not apply.  I'm in search of  a home that keeps me exercised and engaged beyond your average pooch.  I'd be a great flyball, agility or obedience dog.  I am vocal when happy or excited so apartment life is not my best option.  I'm best suited for a family with children 10+.   If you like smart, energetic, fun loving, eager to learn and show off sorts you really should call Angela, the foster coordinator @ 503-807-9134
