"PERLA" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"
Shelter ID: 106482 Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback/Mix
spayed female 5 yr 68 lbs adoption fee $210
Description:
At roughly 5 years old and weighing about 68lbs, Perla is a sweet and
gentle girl who is ready to find her forever person! We believe Perla is
a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, and this lovely lady has a heart as big as
her size. Perla absolutely adores people and is happiest when she is
right by your side. Whether she is offering you her paw for a shake or
gently asking for pets, Perla makes it clear that her favorite place is
wherever her people are. She is still working on her leash manners and
can be a bit of a puller, but she is incredibly motivated by treats and
praise and is eager to continue learning with her new family. Perla
would love a home where she can be included, loved, and spend her days
being someone's loyal companion.
1. Perla is a true people-dog and would do best with a family who is
looking for a companion that wants to be involved in their daily life.
She loves attention, affection, and being near her humans, making her a
wonderful fit for someone looking for a loyal sidekick.
2. Perla is still working on her leash skills and can pull when she
is excited. The good news is that she is very treat motivated and
responds well to praise, which will make continuing her training a fun
and rewarding experience for her and her new family! We would recommend
older children (9+).
3. Perla has done well meeting other dogs while in our care. If you
have a resident dog, we will require scheduling a meet and greet with
Perla prior to adoption to ensure they are a great match.
4. We do not yet know how Perla would do with cats or other small
animals. If you have small animals in the home, please discuss proper
introductions and expectations with your adoption counselor.
