"AIRES" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Services"
Shelter ID: 106559
Breed: Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever
spayed female 10 yrs, 100 lbs (overweight) adoption fee $158
Description:
Who is big, fluffy, and looking for a new home? Aires! Aires is an approximately 10yr old Great Pyrenees mix who weighs approximately 100lbs. She knows shes a bigger girl like many of her breed, but she wouldn't mind losing a few pounds to help with her joints! Aires is looking for a cozy retirement home to call her own. If you've got a cozy pillow and an empty hand or two for pets and treats, Aires is your girl! She still enjoys a nice gentle walk and would love to cruise the neighborhood with you, so put on your walking shoes and come meet Aires!
1) Aires is a lovely, older lady who would do great for a first time dog owner. She would likely enjoy having a backyard of her own, but she isn't opposed to apartment living where more walks may be called for instead.
2) Aires has been dog social here at the shelter. As an older lady, her puppy days are behind her and she likely would do great living with another calm dog. If you have another dog, be sure to discuss their personality with your adoption counselor to make sure they and Aires could be great housemates.
3) We don't know how Aires will be with cats or other small animals, so be sure to discuss proper introductions with your adoption counselor to make sure that Aires and any resident small animals can be great housemates!
4) Aires is a gentle lady who would likely do well with children who are gentle with their hands.
