We fell for Pete, our 21 pound 5 month old pitty, as soon as we saw his photo. We are suckers for a single eye spot, sure, but throw in an ear spot? We’re putty in Pete’s paws. Pete is as sweet as he is adorable and we’re so happy we get to find him a family.

Pete was found injured and taken to the shelter where he was diagnosed with two broken legs. Fortunately, his back leg was healing fine. However, Pete’s front leg could not be saved. Thanks to the 15/10 Foundation for covering his care in it’s entirety, we were able to get Pete the surgery he needed. He is recovered from his amputation; you wouldn’t know Pete’s only got 3 legs when you see him run around. Like all of our tripods, Pete can do all the same things 4 legged dogs can do.
Crate trained (with some periodic complaints) and nearly potty trained, Pete is well on his way to being a well-behaved adult. He is incredibly friendly and is happy to meet (and make out with) any human. Pete is great on a leash, loves the car, and excels at being out and about. When not playing, Pete is a fan of cuddling and is affectionate. Pete loves his big dog roommate and is mostly respectful of his cat roommate. We think, with proper introductions, Pete could live with anyone.
We expect Pete to be about 45-55 pounds fully grown. Although he’s acing his beginning training with us, his adopter should plan on taking Pete to puppy classes. Thanks to the 15/10 Foundation, Pete’s first training class will be paid for! No one should adopt a puppy if they don’t plan to train it; now there’s no reason not to sign up.
Pete is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and current on his flea and heartworm preventatives. His adoption fee is $400.

Ideally, Pete’s adopter owns their own home or has a letter from the landlord stating that Pitbulls are allowed on the lease.
Pete is still going to be adorable all grown up. Want to be the one to help him get there? Apply to adopt on our website. https://www.stumptownstrays.org/adoption-application 💙🐾
