I'm in a quieter area of the shelter. Please ask to meet me! ~ Kocoum

KOCOAM LOVED playing with his sister! and misses her. (Tiana- was adopted 11/15/25)  (Just my input, but I really think that he would would like a compatible dog companion to love and play with

Kocoam is a young shortie Basset/bully mix. (He has short legs, and a bully face) Total Sweetheart who lacks confidence

He is afraid/ nervous in his shelter kennel, and it is  likely that he will l be unsure in new places once adopted and will need an understanding home that won't push him too hard

What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • I am a sweet and sensitive boy who takes a little time to build trust and make friends.
  • I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!
  • Loud noises and unpredictable movements can make me uncomfortable, I would do best in a home with calm, older children.
  • I am still learning how to walk on leash, especially in new environments that can be overwhelming. I need verbal encouragement, patience and of course treats from you to help me!
  • Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.

The type of home I'm looking for:

  • I may do best in a home where there is another dog to help boost my confidence.
  • It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process.
  • I enjoy the company of dogs! If you have a playful dog I would love to be friends!
