"SYDNEY" a True GEM! GOLDEN Husky/pittie mystery mix "PROJECT POOCH"

Project POOCH, quite simply, changes lives. We operate a kennel inside a youth correctional facility and pair currently incarcerated youth with shelter dogs. The youth learn kennel management, positive reinforcement, grooming, and training techniques. The youth learn what it means to be depended on by another living creature and what it means to be trusted and relied upon. And, they learn what unconditional love feels like—sometimes for the first time. Our dogs get trained, loved, and adopted into their forever homes. There is no limit to the amount of time a dog spends in our care, and we are focused on the individual needs of each dog."

SYDNEY spayed female , Husky/Pittie mix, Appx. 2-year-old Husky/Pittie Mix, 60 lbs Gets along with many dogs....LOVES people!

"Sydney is an absolute gem! At two years old, she is prime age to be your new buddy - no puppy shenanigans here. This blonde bombshell is a bit of a mystery mix, possibly some pitty, maybe shepherd or husky for those ears, but 100% born to be your best friend.

While at POOCH, we have found Sydney to be a silly girl, a cuddle partner, and down for the adventure. Her leash skills have really blossomed with the youth's support, and we have found her confidence on some of the agility equipment we have here.
She is the first dog our trainer uses to start playgroups, as she has been consistently clear in her communication to other dogs and is able to redirect other dogs who might not play the best yet.

Like any adolescent dog, she does shine when her needs are thoroughly met. Don't let that scare you off, her needs are a walk or some run around time, and plenty of cuddles. Syd's preferred place for a nap is either nearby, or in the sun, flat out to absorb it all.
She even got to show off how great she is at Animal Crackers Pet Supply during their birthday party. Even with other dogs barking and carrying on, she was ready to chill and nap when not greeting the many admirers.

If you grew up wishing for a doggy sidekick, maybe when you watched Up! you imagined a Dug of your own, Sydney might just have the paws to fill those shoes."
