MCAS
needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption (and ensure that the dogs are given adequate care and recovery time!)
Adopting
intact dogs to new homes is grossly irresponsible in our current
homeless dog crisis. EVEN POOR counties with a much smaller budget for
animal control are ensuring that the dogs are spayed/neutered prior to
adoption. Management
is failing the animals and the community.
Solution?
- lease/create an offsite space and hire part-time well- qualified
Veterinarians and qualified volunteers to help out. Provide safe
spay/neuter and provide a safe recovery space so all adoptable animals
are spay/neutered before they go to new homes.

Meet Sally, a beautiful 1-year, 6-month-old spayed female Cattle Dog
ready to find her forever home! This sweet girl can be a little nervous
when meeting new people or in unfamiliar situations, but her heart
quickly opens with the magic of tasty treats. Sally can be sensitive to
handling and will clearly communicate her comfort levels, so a patient
and understanding approach is key to building her trust. Once she feels
safe and understood, Sally's loving and intelligent personality will
shine. She's looking for a calm home with someone who appreciates her
gentle nature and is willing to work with her at her pace. Could you be
the special person to give Sally the secure and loving environment she
deserves? ππΎπ‘
