MCAS
needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption, especially the female dogs (and ensure that the dogs are given adequate care and recovery time!) Adopting
intact dogs to new homes is grossly irresponsible in our current
homeless dog crisis. EVEN POOR counties with a much smaller budget for
animal control are ensuring that the dogs are spayed/neutered prior to
adoption. Management
is failing the animals and the community. possible Solution?
- lease/create an offsite space and hire part-time well- qualified
Veterinarians and qualified volunteers to help out. Provide safe
spay/neuter and provide a safe recovery space so all adoptable animals
are spay/neutered before they go to new homes.=================
