LUCY PERMANENT Old Dog Haven PERMANENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED: for "OLD DOG HAVEN"(note: all medical expenses paid by rescue)
(fosters needed -located in W. Washington state or Portland, OR only)
"Lucy" is a 12.5 year old Border collie/retrieve mix. She is a spayed
LUCY female, who currently overweight at 66 pounds. This pretty girl's lifetime person has passed; she urgently needs a home.
She's become used to spending a day outside (coming in overnight) though she has a dogdoor, perhaps guarding the property from raccoons or other "threats"?
Her vet records mention "really nice temperament, very friendly" and she loves
to play with a grandson and go to the dog park - good on leash, eager to
play when she gets a chance.
She's not lived with another dog,
however. We know she needs a dental, she has cataracts starting, has
occasionally had skin/ear issues, but she's not had any labwork done so
the rest of her health is unknown. She sounds like a really great dog
who may need some help adjusting to the loss of her lifetime companion
and home.
