Xena is a friendly and social dog who loves all people, dogs, and cats.
She bonds quickly with larger dogs and would thrive in a home with
another friendly canine. Xena is very vocal-she "talks" like a seal
pup-and is highly intelligent, requiring mental stimulation and
enrichment to keep her happily busy.
While she enjoys meeting new people, she can be hesitant at first and is
easily startled; a patient person who is home often will help her feel
secure and confident. She generally well-behaved but is still working on
stairs and can be mouthy during play, so training will benefit her.
Xena has some separation anxiety and would do best with someone who is
patient, calm, and available to spend lots of time with her. She is
comfortable in her kennel and even enjoys eating there. She is not food
aggressive but prefers to have her food undisturbed by other animals.
This sweet girl is looking for a patient, loving family ready to give
her the time and attention she needs to blossom into her best self.
