Meet Igloo! He was quite reserved and hesitant when he first arrived here at the shelter. With some patience, tasty snacks and one on one time, he has started warming up to his friends here! Though he can be hesitant and nervous in new environments, he does warm up over time with positive reinforcement like treats and praise. He is treat motivated and knows the "sit" command. Igloo exhibits some fear and anxiety, especially around loud noises or unfamiliar dogs. He has shown improvement in social interactions with both people and other dogs, though he still needs work on his confidence in new situations. He was a little nervous going through doors but was easily coaxed with treats and praise. Igloo has also shown some interest in tennis balls and enjoyed playing fetch. 🥎 Overall, Igloo is a sweet and friendly dog who is eager to please. He would do well in a home with patient and understanding owners who are willing to help him build his confidence. 💕
