"DODGER" SPECIAL NEEDS med-sz German Shepherd - - know sit, stay, come, shake

Jan 2024 TRANSFERRED to OHS

What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • I would enjoy living an active lifestyle. Let's go on an adventure!
  • I may seem shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!
  • My foster said I am great at having fun and being active, but also great at relaxing with my human friends! I'd make a great buddy for curling up on the couch to watch a movie.
  • I can be picky about my canine companions. Slow introductions and having my own space will be important for me to adjust to a home with resident dogs.
  • Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
  • I love to learn! You can use my favorite toys or treats as positive reinforcement and to teach me new things.
  • Click here to sign-up for our Start over Rover class! We will help you set you on the right path to have the best life possible with your new furry friend through training, games, and exercises!
  • I have a medical condition that requires long term management.

The type of home I'm looking for:

  • I may prefer to be the only pet in the home, but if you already have a canine friend, I will need to meet them prior to getting adopted.

  •

Dodger has warm brown soulful eyes and is gentle-spirited. He had been abandoned and was very thin when came into the shelter.see below for details/

Looking for a loving caring home.  He's a very nice boy

Hey there! My name is Dodger and I am a 1 year old Shepherd mix! I am a little shy at first here at the shelter but with some treats and lots of love I will slowly warm up to you! My ideal family will be active, patient and use positive training methods to help me become a more refined pup. I already know some basic commands like "Sit" and "Shake" but I am eager to learn more and can't wait to show you how smart I am!! I have a medical condition called EPI that can be managed with diet and supplements, the adoption counselors can tell you more about me and my needs during the adoption counseling! If you are looking for a pup like me then come speak with an adoption counselor about me today!
