Hi I'm Cole, a handsome Belgian malinois German shepherd mix. Because of my breed I will do best with someone who has experience with or researched working breed dogs and is ready for my abundance of personality. I can be very eager and affectionate , jumping on my favorite people when there isn't a toy or treat to redirect me. Sometimes I imagine people as my playmates and use my mouth to play but with redirection or boundaries I get it together pretty quickly. Most of the time I am laser focused on my people, waiting and ready to please. I love playing with all sorts of toys and will run for hours chasing a ball or digging holes in sand or soft dirt (be prepared if you have a yard for me to use it as a toy) . I do well with basic commands such as sit, lay down ,wait and I am also potty and crate trained. I run next to a longboard perfectly and do well with kids 12 and up (unsure with little ones as I get playful and mouthy and my foster family haven't brought them around me quite yet). I do well with other dogs with proper introduction as well as cats. I am not reactive to small animals on leash and am easily redirected with a toy or treat if there are people and dogs around that get my attention. If you are looking for a friend to join you on hikes or daily runs I will be the most loyal companion you'll ever meet and if you are interested in working breed dogs for specific activities (scent training , trick training or learning puzzles) I am the smartest boy around. I have so much love to share and want a special person to bond with.
