"LUCY" young Beagle mix - CUTE and SMALL have been Lucy's downfall!!

 UPDATE 9/17/23 adopted

Lucy has been adopted and returned a number of times. People are attracted to her size and cuteness but aren't really looking for a young adventurous Beagle mix. Poor Lucy, she must be terribly insecure at this point. Maybe you are the one to commit to her needs?

Lucy loves playing with other dogs who don't push her too much.  She is quite timid with more assertive dogs. A friendly little cutie!

Heyo! My name is Lucy, and I am a one year old female Beagle mix looking for a home. I am sweet and affectionate, and love getting snuggles and giving kisses. Unfortunately, I've been returned to the shelter a few times now. All homes had very good things to say about me but I am just a busy girl. Like many Beagle mixes I go where my nose takes me and get easily influenced to follow a trail...even if it means escaping my lovely family's home or yard. I will need a patient home who can work with me on my "urge to adventure". A good way to avoid me getting bored and potentially destructive is to provide me with lots of mental and physical enrichment. Maybe a training class could be fun together to learn some games to keep my mind busy. I am still just a young lady, and a lot of negative behaviors can be changed through training and positive reinforcement. The shelter is recommending any kids in the home be over the age of 8 years, as the little ones can be a little too overwhelming for me. I've been exploring play groups with other dogs at the shelter and have made some friends, maybe another active dog with a similar play style would be a fun match for me?! If you feel like we could make a great match, come down to the shelter and meet me today! :)
