Max is a delightful, affectionate dog!Nice big German Shepherd! Gentle, easy to walk
and always has a wagging tail when you talk to him.
Max came into the shelter as an owner surrender. He was in very poor condition, hair loss, and underweight. He developed Kennel Cough - common in a shelter environment, even though they are given vaccinations when they enter. Possibly because of his weakened condition, Max then developed pneumonia (much more serious than KC) and was treated in the shelter hospital. We were all very grateful that he recovered!! He needs a good home now!

At this time, community members aren't able to visit the shelter to browse adoption kennels, and adoptions are limited to the virtual process. Hi, I am Max a two year old German Shepherd Dog with a skin condition, and I am looking for a new home. My favorite hobby is exploring! I am a curious, smart dog and I love to learn new things about the world around me. I would love to have a job to do or learn some new tricks to give my mind something to work on. I do not shy away from novel situations and if you can keep me mentally and physically stimulated, I will be your loving friend forever.
